HELLO QUARANTINE CUTIES AND WELCOME TO FEAST WITH THE BEARDED LADIES. I bought the flowers myself, but the rest of our 12- course meal has been prepared for you by exquisite cabaret chefs from places near and far. Dishes range from comedians, drag artists, experimental filmmakers, performance artists, musicians, dancers, burlesque artists and a sword swallower for dessert. Each course is sure to delight the senses (Well, mostly just your eyes and ears but you can lick the screen. We won’t tell). MALGORZATA GOSIA KASPRZYCKA (she/her) is a lover of broken things and deep ocean creatures, a voice dancer, a singer of ancient songs, a witch, a nomad and a poet. She writes and sings in Polish, English, French, Spanish and languages without name. She takes us to a universe where folk – rock – punk – cabaret and ancient chants meet to form a musical sonar, one that penetrates deep into the heart of the listener.

His award winning works have played stages across the world Menier Chocolate Factory, London, Wroclaw in Poland, Cape Town, South Africa. Christchurch, Auckland, Melbourne to Sydney Opera House. Most notably his family show “Duckie” that earned a Total Theatre award. He’s starred in Olivier award winning circus, La clique. Worked with contemporary composers Julian Phillips, Orlando Gough, Jocelyn Pook in works at The Royal Opera House, Glyndebourne and Wigmore hall. Sung with Basement Jaxx at the Barbican. Recent theatre credits include Balladeer in Threepenny Opera, National Theatre. Daddy Brubeck, Sweet Charity, Donmar. Feste in Emma Rice’s ‘Twelfth Night’ at The Globe, ‘Effigies of Wickedness’ for the Gate Theatre/ENO, and at legendary opera house, Bayreuth in Wagner’s Tannhauser.

Effortlessly she crosses boundaries between sub and high culture, dance, theatre, cabaret, puppettheatre, drag + gender-performance. She is a pioneer of drag performances in Germany and has organized Drag King tours and festivals between 1994-2002. Since 2005 her specialty has been classical German Theatre pieces as onewoman-shows with puppets and pop music. She works as a solo artist or with other companies: Le Pustra’s Kabarett der Namenlosen / Berlin’s already legendary show in the spirit of the 1920s, Bearded Ladies Cabaret in 2018, and others. DIETER RITA SCHOLL(he/she/they) is a theatrical performer and deviser focusing on expression and emancipation from a gay and feminist perspective since 1979. He has appeared in feature films (Meeting Venus, Lose Your Head, The Cage), TV series (Der Schattenmann), independent/ underground films (Im Tiefen Tal Der Therapierten) and experimental films and documentaries. He recently completed Gritty Glamour with an international team of performers for Ballhaus Naunynstrasse (Berlin) and appears in Winnie Und Adi – Das Duell. Dieter has specialized in French chanson since 2004 performing in Ich Bin Was Du Vergessen Harst, Paris-Berlin, Dalida Barfuß, Lila Nächte, and more.

HOSTED BY: Martha Graham Cracker FEATURING: Stephanie Blythe and Blythely Oratonio, Clayton Lee, Dorian Wood, Justin Elizabeth Sayre, Be Steadwell, Twoja Stara, Pioneer Winter MARTHA GRAHAM CRACKER (she/her) is famously ‘the tallest and hairiest drag queen in the world.” Her monthly cabaret series at L’Etage in Philadelphia has been running for over 15 years. Along with her extraordinarily tight band, she has performed regularly at a wide variety of venues including Joe’s Pub, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Union Transfer, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, The Trocadero Theatre, World Cafe Live, The Afterglow Festival in Provincetown, and the Mayor’s Reception Room in City Hall. She has also created a vaguely confessional show featuring original songs about books, libraries, and lost love entitled Lashed but Not Leashed; LBNL premiered at the Kimmel Center and was presented at Joe’s Pub during the 2018 Under the Radar Festival. The soundtrack album for Lashed but Not Leashed is available now at Bandcamp, Spotify and iTunes.

His arrangements have been called “wizardly” (Time Out NY) and “ingenious” (NY Times), and his piano playing referred to as “classic, well-oiled swing” (NY Times) and “to cry for” (Ebony). For his work on Taylor Mac’s show A 24-Decade History of Popular Music he and Mac shared the 2017 Kennedy Prize for Drama Inspired by American History. His show Matt Ray Plays Hoagy Carmichael featuring Kat Edmonson premiered at Lincoln Center’s American Songbook series in 2018. Other work includes music directing The Billie Holiday Project at the Apollo Theater Cafe (2012), Taylor Mac’s Obie award winning play The Lily’s Revenge (2009), Bridget Everett’s one-hour Comedy Central special Gynecological Wonder (2015), Everett’s hit cabaret show Rock Bottom (2014), and performing in the Oscar nominated film Can You Ever Forgive Me? Her solo rock n roll comedy shows “Birth of a nASIAN” and “Americasiana” were both invited to the Smithsonian Institute and she has performed her irreverent, political and occasionally foul mouthed humor at the Montreal Comedy Festival, The Perth International Festival, and on PBS, Showtime, LOGO, Comedy Central and NBC. She performs at clubs and colleges all over the world with her Amerasian music and comedy duo Slanty Eyed Mama and is a graduate of the Juilliard School. www.katerigg. com HOSTED BY: Jennifer Kidwell FEATURING: the Illustrious Blacks, nicHi Douglas, Ikechukwu Ufomadu and more JENNIFER KIDWELL (she/her) Obie Award-winner Jennifer Kidwell’s performer-driven theater work addresses the complexities of race and notions of American history with sharp intelligence and wry humor. Invested in probing challenging social and historical truths, Kidwell says her work is “concerned with discomfort and/ or confusion around normative practices and systems.” With Scott Sheppard, she premiered and performed in Underground Railroad Game, lauded by The Philadelphia Inquirer as a “brilliant theatrical commentary on contemporary race relations.” A graduate of Pig Iron Theatre Company’s School for Advanced Performance Training, Kidwell created and appeared in the company’s I Promised Myself to Live Faster, and The Wilma Theater’s production of Antigone. She is co-artistic director of the theater company Lightning Rod Special and co-founder of the Brooklyn-based performance space JACK. She holds a BA in English and comparative literature from Columbia University.

Born in Mexico City (1974), Tareke is a classical pianist, live theatrical musician, singer, composer of modern contemporary music, stage director, actor and facilitator of new approaches to the vocal work. His work has been presented at venues and artistic festivals like: Stratford Festival with Peter Sellars, Les Couleurs du Mond in Amiens France, Sanskrit Institute in India, Festival dei Due mundi in Spoleto, Italy, Mexico Now in NY, Tajin Festival,Veracruz, Mexico, Carnuntum, Austria Festival, La MaMa etc., The Kitchen, and other venues in NY, The Gate Theatre, and the Tate Britain Gallery with Wolfgang Tillmans in London, and Lincoln Center, NY with his Voice Quartet Mi Gallo. He works on the promotion of language rights and nonviolent communication both at indigenous communities in Mexico as well as immigrant populations in the USA and Latin America. The creation of intercultural and pedagogical creative technologies of art are some of the main aims to his work.

She mastered walking in 5-inch stilettos in the night clubs of Boston, achieved her hair fantasy by studying vintage videos of Grace Bumbry and founded the giving project Art of the Heel. Cookie grew up in historic Auburn, NY with gospel in her ears, civil rights in her blood and a song in her heart. She has been soloist for events, galas, concerts and on the cabaret stage. JESS CONDA (she/her) is a Philadelphia-based performance artist. “Too musical theater for rock & roll and too rock & roll for musical theater,” she works regularly as an emcee in Philly’s cabaret scene, most notably as Muff Johnson, rock chanteuse and co-host with The Peek A Boo Revue, the city’s longest running burlesque troupe. Jess was recently seen in Do you Want A Cookie? with the Bearded Ladies and in Pig Iron Theatre Company’s A Hard Time, an alt-cabaret love letter to the Patriarchy devised w Jenn Kidwell and Mel Krodman. 2013 Philadelphia Magazine’s “Best Star Power.” Her mother says she’ll never get a husband with a mouth like that. FEATURING: DANDY: David Rue & Randy Ford, Roache, Angel Baby Kill Kill Kill, Woody Shticks, Queen Shmooquan CHERDONNA SHINATRA (she/her) is a Seattlebased dance artist, director, and performance artist Cherdonna Shinatra. Over the last 15 years, Kuehner has created and performed over a dozen evening-length works and performance installations described as “uncategorizable spectacles” (The Stranger) for institutions such as The Momentary (AR), On the Boards (WA), Seattle Theater Group (WA), Henry Art Museum (WA),Velocity Dance Center (WA), The Frye Art Museum (WA); and for countless clubs and cabarets around the country. In 2019, Kuehner premiered “DITCH” at the Frye Art Museum, as a three-month gallery exhibition with daily live performance. DITCH’s eighty performances drew an audience of over 3500 people. Kuehner also toured her solos “Worth My Salt” and “Clock That Mug or Dusted”, with support from the NEFA’s National Dance Project, to venues such as The American Dance Festival (NC), FringeArts Philadelphia, and The Yard at Martha’s Vineyard and the University of South Florida. Kuehner is a 2017 Artist Trust Fellowship recipient, 2017 Henry Art Gallery Artist in Residence, 2017 CityArts Artist of the Year, and 2015 Stranger Genius Award winner. She danced with Pat Graney company from 2007–2016 while assisting Graney’s KTF Prison

She’s a 2014 Doris Duke Awardee and a 2017 & 2020 FCA grant recipient for Theater/ Performance. THIS and Wild Bore were touring internationally when corona hit. Grey Arias w/ Le Gateau Chocolat (UK) and MASTERCLASS w/Brokentalkers (IR) were meant to premiere in 2020. A new piece about genius and gender is scheduled for 2023 in NYC. She’s worked at or with: Sydney Opera House, The Moth, The Roundhouse, CBGB’s, PS122, The Kitchen, Danspace, The Malthouse, MoMa, Deborah Hay, David Neumann, Split Britches, Sarah Michelson, John Cameron Mitchell, Kiki and Herb, La Soiree/ La Clique.. Director’s credits: David’s Friend, The Cockpainter, and AmericanMotherFuck and her essays have been published in two Australian anthologies, The Guardian and other publications. JOHN JARBOE (she/her) is a director, singer, writer, producer and host serving you revolution, herstory, queer community making, and a whole lot of glitter. She is the founding artistic director of The Bearded Ladies Cabaret, transforming opera, cabaret, and live performance, making work that will make you sing, dance, and question. She has directed and written original work for La Mama ETC, Joe’s Pub, Opera Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Wilma Theater, and most recently directed Anthony Roth Costanzo’s cabaret for the Guggenheim’s Works & Process series and co-wrote and directed Stephanie Blythe’s Blythely Ever After for American Songbook at Lincoln Center.
