Ask anyone in town who any of these individuals is and you’ll soon see why they were chosen as the first ever Festival Treasures – they are living history and the reason for the honor of these individuals according to Bill Coburn of the Chamber of Commerce. The Wistaria Festival Committee initiated this honor to recognize the volunteer work of citizens whose efforts have allowed for the festival to continue year after year since its beginning in 1918.
