ARCADIA July 31 At 12:48 p.m., an officer responded to Rod’s Grill, located at 41 W. Huntington Drive, regarding a suspect exhibiting signs of public intoxication. Upon contacting the suspect, the 61-year-old female from La Verne provided a false name to hide the fact that she had two outstanding misdemeanor warrants. She was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. At 9:14 p.m., an officer responded to Westfield Santa Anita Mall, located at 400 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a robbery that had just occurred. An investigation revealed the victim was standing just outside of the Nordstrom exit when the suspect exited his parked vehicle and forcibly stole her purse. The victim fell to the ground during the robbery. The suspect, described as a Black male in his 20s, fled in a black BMW sedan. The victim refused medical attention. Aug. 1 At 8:22 a.m., an officer responded to 7-Eleven, located at 200 E. Live Oak Ave., regarding a theft incident. The officer determined the suspect stole nearly $70 worth of merchandise and grew angry when the clerk confronted him. The suspect, a 26-yearold male from Los Angeles was arrested in the field. At 3:50 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 600 block of Sunset Boulevard regarding a report of shots fired. The officers discovered the suspect, a neighbor, fired multiple rounds of ammunition into neighboring apartments in response to an ongoing dispute. The 39-year-old female from Arcadia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. Aug. 2 At 7:08 a.m., an officer responded to Santa Anita Cleaners, located at 1001 N. Aug. 3 At 12:37 a.m., officers responded to Hilton Garden Inn, located at 199 N. Second Ave., regarding a robbery investigation. It was determined the suspects, casual acquaintances of the victim, stole her cash and sunglasses while she left them unattended in her hotel room. Both suspects are described as Black males between the ages of 18 and 25 years old. At 7:04 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 00 block of West Naomi Avenue regarding a mail theft report. The victim stated the suspect removed a rear plate to the mailbox, looked through his mail, and discarded it on the ground before returning to his black four-door sedan and driving away. The investigation is pending a review of the surveillance footage. At 6:24 p.m., officers responded to Westfield Santa Anita Mall, located at 400 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a stolen trailer in the area. The driver, a 43-year-old male from Oakland, was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. Aug. 4 At 2:47 a.m., an officer responded to the 00 block of East Huntington Drive regarding a City of Arcadia municipal code violation. The code prohibits subjects from camping on city benches, and after multiple warnings, the suspect, a 44-year-old male from Temple City, was issued a citation. At 8:09 a.m., an officer responded to the 700 block of Fairview Avenue regarding a stolen vehicle in the area. Upon contacting the driver, the officer determined the 32-year-old male from South Gate, was in possession of a stolen vehicle. A records check also revealed he had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At 1:59 p.m., an officer responded to Macy’s, located at 400 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a grand theft incident. An investigation revealed the suspect was in possession of approximately $1,500 worth of stolen merchandise. The 60-year-old male from Arcadia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. At 5:34 p.m., an officer responded to Angeles National Forest Headquarters, located at 701 N. Santa Anita Ave., regarding a grand theft report. The officer discovered someone had stolen nearly $27,000 worth of handheld radios from the facility. The incident happened sometime between July 26 and Aug. 1. Aug. 6 At 6:52 p.m., an officer responded to 7-Eleven, located at 102 E. Huntington Drive, regarding a trespassing report. The officer determined the suspect had been served a trespass authorization form but refused to leave the area. While attempting to contact the suspect, he ran and resisted arrest. During a search incident to an arrest, the officer located methamphetamine and a smoking pipe. The 31-year-old male from Temple City was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. At 10:17 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 400 block of Workman Avenue regarding a burglary report. The victim witnessed someone burglarizing the home via surveillance footage. Additional officers responded and located the suspect in an area search. The 51-year-old male from El Monte was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. A records check revealed he also had two outstanding misdemeanor warrants and was in possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia.
MONROVIA July 28 At 1:17 a.m. a caller reported that his girlfriend was fighting with an intoxicated female inside an apartment in the 100 block of West
Colorado. Officers arrived and detained the two females. Further investigation revealed both females were drinking alcohol and got into a fight. One of the females was arrested for being drunk in public. She was transported to the Monrovia Police Department jail to be held for a sobering period. At 8:09 a.m., a resident in the 700 block of Genoa called to report that her vehicle was taken sometime during the night. This investigation is continuing. At 12:31 p.m., a caller reported an injury traffic collision in the 2000 block of south Myrtle. Officers and paramedics arrived on scene and checked on the wellbeing of the occupants. One occupant sustained non-life threatening injuries. The driver at fault was issued a citation. At 2:06 p.m., a caller reported her brother was missing and he might be in Monrovia. An extensive search was conducted, but he was not located. This investigation is continuing. At 10:12 p.m., an officer patrolling the intersection of Foothill and May stopped a vehicle for a vehicle code violation. A computer check of a passenger revealed an arrest warrant. Further investigation revealed the passenger was in possession of PCP. He was arrested and taken into custody. July 29 At 3:04 a.m., a caller in the 300 block of East Palm reported that her son was unresponsive in the home. Officers arrived and it appeared that the subject may have overdosed. Fire personnel responded and the subject was transported to the hospital. The subject was known to officers and knew that a court order prevented him from being at the location. The incident will be forwarded to the DA for filing consideration. At 8:15 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of East Palm regarding a subject who overdosed in the bathroom and

was not breathing. Officers arrived and an officer deployed a single dose of Narcan, which caused the subject to become responsive. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital by paramedics. At 10:08 a.m., a victim in the 100 block of South Mayflower called to report that someone keyed his car. This investigation is continuing. At 10:44 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of East Palm regarding a case worker finding a controlled substance in a juvenile's possession. The juvenile and his mother were both issued a citation to appear in court. The juvenile was released to his mother. At 1:29 p.m., a business in the 3300 block of South Peck called to report they were in possession of a fraudulent check. This investigation is continuing. At 1:36 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the intersection of Central and Magnolia of a bicyclist for a traffic violation. The subject admitted to being in possession of methamphetamine. He was arrested and taken into custody. At 2:49 p.m., an officer contacted a subject at a park in the 1600 block of South Primrose. Investigation revealed the subject was in possession of a controlled substance. The subject was arrested, cited and released in the field. At 4:27 p.m., a victim in the 700 block of West Chestnut called to report that she got into a verbal altercation with another male subject. The altercation escalated when he refused to return a lighter and the victim went to grab it from him. The male subject grabbed her hand, causing minor abrasions. She was treated at the scene by the Monrovia Fire Department. At 5:58 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of California and Evergreen regarding a solo injury traffic collision. The subject had minor abrasions and complaints of pain to his left arm. As officers spoke with him, they observed signs and symp-
toms of intoxication. A DUI investigation was conducted. The subject was subsequently transported to a local hospital by ambulance. At 7:17 p.m., a victim reported that her catalytic converter was stolen sometime during the day while she was parked in the 1600 block of South Myrtle. July 30 At 2:17 a.m., an officer initiated a pursuit of a vehicle near the intersection of Huntington and Highland. It was later learned to be driven by an armed carjacking suspect. The pursuit entered the City of Pasadena and was taken over by Pasadena PD. At 10:37 a.m., Monrovia Fire called and informed Dispatch that they were at a residence in the 500 block of West Duarte for a medical assist and the homeowner was pronounced deceased. Officers responded and conducted an investigation. No foul play was determined and the next of kin was notified. At 3:59 p.m., an overdose was reported at a park in the 1600 block of South Myrtle. Officers and Paramedics arrived. An officer applied two canisters of Narcan. The subject regained consciousness and was transported to a local hospital. At 9:54 p.m., a caller reported a two vehicle collision near the intersection of Lemon and California. Officers arrived and requested Monrovia FD to respond for medical aid. One of the drivers stated he did not see the stop sign and collided into the other vehicle. That driver underwent a field sobriety test and was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to Monrovia PD jail to be held for a sobering period. At 11:47 p.m., a caller reported her daughter may be in danger at a residence in the 800 block of West Colorado where the ex-boyfriend lives. Officers arrived and located the female who was safe, but the boyfriend had a domestic violence court order to stay away from the female. The male was arrested and taken into custody.
