Chairman St. Johns Builders Council

President NE Florida Builders Association

The St. Johns Builders Council invites you to visit the beautiful homes that our finest builders have entered in our 2013 St. Johns County Parade of Homes. Visit and experience the latest decorating styles and up to date features they offer.

It sounded impossible but we did it! For the 2013 “President’s Project”, the Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA) accomplished in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville (HabiJax) to complete 25 homes in seven days.

Visitors to St. Johns County have the option of choosing a home for the type of lifestyle that they are looking for. Are you inter-ested in Golfing or Fishing or just plain relaxing on one of St. Johns Counties beautiful beaches? Then St. Johns County, which expands from the beaches on the East to the St. Johns Waterway to the West, might be a place you would like to call “home”. And, don’t forget, in the heart of St. Johns County is the Oldest City in America where you can ex-plore and learn the history of the old fort, historic Bridge of Lions, and walk the cobblestone streets of downtown where you will find quaint little restaurants.

With the assistance of hundreds of volunteers, NEFBA and HabiJax built more than two dozen new homes in Jacksonville’s New Town neighborhood for families who have applied for HabiJax’s homeownership program. Builders and Associate members from the St. Johns Builders Council completed the construction of one of the homes located at 1741 West 3rd Street, for Colista Price and her family with the supervision of Jerry Dean (Mercedes Premier Homes), Adam Roller (Inland Homes), Ed Paucek (Blackstar Group), Robert Marshall (World Island Builders), Thomas Stauffacher (St. Johns Housing Partnership), Bill Lazar (St. Johns Housing Partner-ship) and Mike Davis (A.D. Davis Construction).

Today offers the best buying opportunities, not only of our lifetime, but several of the past lifetimes combined. Interest rates are at an all time low, home prices are at historically low levels, add to this the newest better built Green Energy efficient innovations and they create the best values homebuyers will ever see. This is why St. Johns County is number four in permitting in the State of Florida.

The St. Johns Builders Council represents Builders and Trade Contractors of St. Johns County and is a council of Northeast Florida Builders Association. These two groups, working together have an important legacy of advocating for the builder community and strives to repre-sent members through industry groups, training, community service, and effective representation on the issues that affect the construction industry in Northeast Florida.

“The Parade of Homes” is the premier event of the season. There is something for every lifestyle or the lifestyle of your dreams and we offer the finest Builders to build your home. We hope you enjoy the variety of homes and communities our area has to offer.

Thank you to all of the builders, trade con-tractors, and volunteers from the St. Johns Builders Council who donated time or materials to help realize the dream of ownership for Colista Price and her family. St. Johns County is very fortunate to have a group of business people that are always so willing to help out and make a difference in their community. Thank you again for a job well done.

When Bill Cellar first became a builder, in North-east Florida, he did so with a personal pledge to make a difference in the industry. Providence Homes was created with the commitment to build beautifully designed homes at affordable prices. He has made it his goal to build every home with the same attention to detail and commitment to excellence he would with his own family’s home. Today as CEO of Providence Homes, Bill contin-ues to build upon the philosophy that homeowners deserve the best he can give. “The combination of our product, pricing, location and team equate to a tremendous value for our customers” said Bill. “We treat our customers, trade partners and Realtors the way we would like to be treated. We approach every day that way, and if you strive for that goal, you will earn a reputation for quality that will be recognized and honored”. At the end of the day, Bill Cellar’s original commitment to building each home as if he were building it for his own family has set Providence apart.
