BREAKFAST 04/04/09 There was a shower during breakfast that got the attention of all with the top down. Those that attended were Mike Barnett, Walt and Iris Brown, John and Sandy Burrows, Lonnie Caughman, Thomas Cross, David and Jo Davis, Steve DeGroat, Fred and Betty DeShong, Brad Fowler, Eric Gibeaut and Kristen, Charley and Edith Hylton, Ron and Jerri Jarosz, Matt and Marie Moffat, Robert Muckenfuss (and his new TR6), Cecil and Connie Myers, David and Michelle Paulnock, Chris and Brenda Powell, Steve Ratcliffe and Madel Dobrushin, Lewis and Lois Rodgers, Jim and Vicki Scott and David and Amber Nicolson (2 of the grand grands), Todd and Courtney Smith and Denise Hollis, Mike and Marci Speer, Tony and Pat Stakis, Wally and Sonya Stewart, Eric and Cathy and Ross Szendrei. The Golden Corral was very good – about the same food as Ryan’s but the room is much bigger, we all fit with no effort. Todd’s ‘movie maker’ presentation of the last year with photos was great. CoExecutive Producer Courtney was also there looking very fine in the fedora.

F RO M T H E PRESI DE N T The reason for this is the continued rising costs and time involved in sending out hardcopies. Our newsletter will now be on our new website, which is: bccmc.com. I am one of the last holdouts in getting into the electronic age, but even an old dinosaur has to change eventually. Steve Ratcliffe is doing a great job with our new website, and it will only get better over time.
N EW WEBSI T E IS AVAI LABLE Steve R and Madell D gave us a demo of the new web site. It looks great. There is a link from the old one to the new one. New pages for sponsors, for sale items, other car shows will be added. Send info to Steve at BCC1@gmail.com. The new site is www.bccmc.com. PAY ATTEN T IO N TO T H E 1
Mini (David and Jo D), MGBGT (Steve D), MGA (Brad F), Mini (Eric and Kristen (Bonnie was working)), TR6 (Robert M), MGA (Mike and Marcie S), Jag XJ6C (Wally and Sonya S), Austin Healey (Eric, Cathy and Ross S). Ross barely fits in the back. Another MGBGT joined us on the way home. Since it was behind Steve’s, do you know who it was? We started on SC 12, stopped to get gas and a quick rest. Then we passed the new US Military Cemetery at Fort Jackson. On Sessions Rd, an old and neglected MGB was sighted. Musky Vineyard was sighted on Spring Valley Rd (not the one in Richland County). The route was convoluted, including lots of curves on Lake Road. We turned right off Lake Road, curved all the way on Lake Road, did a U-turn and got the River Road again. There are lots of very nice houses on Lake Wateree, some for sale. Then we crossed Colonel Creek, June Creek, Dutchman Creek, stopped at Dutchman Marina for refreshments and a rest, found a prospective new member. We made the drive across the top of the lake and by the dam, drove down US 21, SC 99, SC 97. Then some started turning toward home. It was a very nice day, not too hot, one shower on the way, then sun and clouds the rest of the time. PROJECT CAR Directions to Jim’s – Broad River Road to Kennerly Rd.; turn right at the Publix. Take Kennerly for 7 miles. Just past the River Creek Subdivision sign, turn right on Pink Daley Road, there is a historical marker. Jim Smith’s garage is the first building on the right. There is a trampoline in the yard. Bill’s cell phone is 803-605-3635.
