and club, for the sterling job that they do. Although it has become apparent that the number of umpires on the Panel is becoming fewer and it is becoming harder to help clubs that are below Division One. ECB OSCA’s in the category of League and Boards. On Monday 6th October all the county OSCA winners attended an awards dinner at Lords and I was absolutely gobsmacked to be named as the winner of the Leagues and Boards Category. As I have stated previously this isn’t an award for myself but for all the management committee who do an amazing job.

2015 is the League’s 25th anniversary and we are hoping to arrange an event to commemorate this milestone with possibly a game in aid of the JCE Trust. I would personally like to thank Steve Cobb for his efforts in his first season as League Secretary, I’m sure Steve was wondering what he had got himself into after the first month of the season with the barrage of emails and registration issues. But, he has been an excellent addition to an already very good Management Committee.

The joys of the season came in the form of the County OSCA’s where all the winners have an association with the League whether it be playing, officiating and administrating. The winners being Bob Browning, Chris Matthews, Colin, Tibbett, Katie Metcalfe, Nicky Howson, Steve Highland and myself.

On your behalf I thank Phil Gurney, Chris Mountain, Bob Woodward, Ian Smith, Graeme Presswell, Dave Pike, Steve Cobb, Malcolm Wynn and Martin Darlow our Management Committee who I am very proud to act as their Chairman.

On the back of the County OSCA’s I was lucky enough to be shortlisted for the NatWest
