Boynton Beach Police today officially charged the driver responsible for a hit and run crash that killed a 15-year-old boy as he walked home from a basketball game in December.
Amanda Marie Dahl, 22, turned herself in to the Palm Beach County Jail this afternoon. She is charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death.
Following an extensive and tenacious investigation, Traffic Homicide Investigators Jose Rivera and Charles Turco established probable cause that Dahl was driving the orange 2002 Mercedes-Benz C230 that struck and killed Khair Raymond on Dec. 20, 2014.
Raymond was walking home from a basketball game at Boynton Beach High School with his brother and a friend when he was tragically struck by the car. He died as a result of his injuries at Delray Medical Center.
