It has been 2 years since last interview. What things/projects are you working on? Prior to shutdown I was devoting my time to training my clients, taking more speaking engagements and preparing to start speaking events of my own. When this shutdown happened, I shifted the priority of certain projects that weren’t scheduled to be launched for another 8 months or so. What advice would you give someone who is unmotivated to workout at home due to gym closings and the obvious pandemic? First, get a full grasp on what your overall goal is and ask yourself, "how will reaching this goal impact my life?". Second, realize that the only difference between a gym location and any other space with resources is your mindset and level of focus. Third,
understand that the body doesn't adapt to gyms and equipment, it
adapts to any change of environment and movement given consistently and effectively.
A lot of people say that 80% of nutrition and 20% exercise is the key to reaching your fitness goals, what are your thoughts on that? You need to give both of them 100%. One is not more important that the other. They both go hand and hand. I’ve taken on clients that could lift the weight, do the cardio and pull ups but couldn't go a few days without a cheeseburger or drink of soda. I've also taken on clients that could consume the egg whites, chicken salad, or gallon of water but couldn't go more than 2 days without talking themselves out of completing their assigned cardio, so don’t think numbers, think habits. Habits hold the blueprint to success.
How do you knock unhealthy habits and emotional eating? These seem to prevent a lot of people from staying dedicated to becoming healthier and establishing a healthier lifestyle.This goes back to the overall mental aspect. We're all human, and as human beings we have our emotions, cravings, and coping mechanisms for life situations. If you can identify the cause or the underlying issues that are cause you to repeat these unhealthy decisions, you can combat with positive thoughts and a better outcome for yourself

LEARN MORE April Ford is using social media to help graduating seniors who may not get gifts because commencements have been canceled or delayed.The Facebook group called “Love on a high school senior 2020” is a way to show them a little love. Parents can post a picture and information about their graduate. Anyone can donate things like gift cards, gas cards and things for those dorms they will eventually move into. Ford, who lives in Hinesville, said she’s grateful for the support of these children who have worked so hard to get to this point. “You have 17, 18year-olds that are graduating high school with associates degrees, they’ve done dual majors. These kids deserve to be celebrated. So use this as a lesson going through life that you can overcome anything,” Ford said. The group already has more than 20,000 members and thousands of seniors have been adopted.
