When I was a young kid my father took me aside one day and told me something about playing basketball that I've never forgotten. He told me that it was far more important to him that people thought of his son as being a good respectful kid as compared to a good basketball player.
That has never left me. Today it sometimes seems like we live in a completely different day and age.
