Our small team at Base work tirelessly to provide food and service of the highest quality. Located in the centre of Ulverston on the edge of the Lake District, our restaurant and gardens lend themselves perfectly to intimate weddings for you and your nearest and dearest. With a beautiful fernery located within the kitchen garden, the restaurant and bar area themselves and the Williams room to choose from , the structure and décor of your day is flexible and entirely unique to you.

At the base of Hoad Hill, beneath the iconic Sir John Barrow monument, stands Base . Located within our walled kitchen garden is the fernery; a unique and romantic backdrop for your wedding photographs or intimate outdoor ceremony. Surrounded by your closest friends and family on our hand-carved oak seating amongst abundant flower beds, the fernery creates the perfect setting for any intimate wedding.

Your Wedding Breakfast When you book with Base , your wedding menu is as unique as you are. Simply select your package, draw inspiration from our sample menus and adjust them to suit your special day. We have both formal and informal options, sit down meals to stun your guests and evening buffets packed full of flavour. All dietary requirements catered for. Working closely with local, Cumbrian-based suppliers, the freshness and quality of the ingredients used is guaranteed. Arrange your meeting with Mark and begin creating your special day.
Exclusivity Unlike other wedding venues, any wedding booked at Base comes with exclusivity with no additional cost. Ensuring no interruptions and full use of your booked space. We are committed to ensuring your day runs as smoothly as possible and pride ourselves on high quality food and service. For whole day wedding bookings, we also reserve additional time, free-ofcharge for the set up and clean down of your celebration. Giving you time the day before to arrange anything needed and the following day to collect anything left behind.
