Who is this course for?

How will I be assessed?

This Higher Apprenticeship is designed to ensure you have an appropriate set of skills to operate in today’s IT and telecoms sector. It offers candidates the skills needed to be able to undertake a range of duties, in a range of circumstances, appropriate to their job roles, to the standard set by the industry. This will enable you to work in a range of roles from developer to manager.

Assessment will be through practical coursework and written assignments. Assessments are also carried out in your workplace. Our assessor will visit you at work every 6-8 weeks and assess you in your working environment. Visits usually last around two hours.

What qualifications or experience do I need? You will require a level 3 qualification in IT together with GCSE English and maths at grade C (4/5) or above.

You will gain a nationally recognised level 4 qualifications in IT which demonstrates your practical competence and technical knowledge alongside skills in literacy, numeracy and ICT.

What can the course lead to? After completing this qualification you can progress to university or seek employment as an IT technician job.
