Happy 30th Birthday, Shea! I remember coming up to Union for Parent’s Weekend with your mom and dad. Your mother brought you a dress that I thought was a really cute T-shirt! LOL! At least on me it would have been. Smallest dress I’ve ever seen. The campus was very picturesque and I enjoyed walking around the grounds. I especially liked watching some of the Union football game. Later we had dinner with some other friends and their families. I was so pleased to be invited to tag along and share in your college experience. This next year will be a big one, so congratulation on turning 30!

Love Aunt Ninny

Cheese Crisis Hits Paris: Parisians in Panic!

Paris, August 25, 2024

— The city of light is now the city of plight as desperate Parisians scramble fromageries in search of their beloved Tome aux fleurs, only to find empty shelves and heartache.

For the past three days, frantic cheese lovers have been overheard lamenting, "Mon Dieu! Not a single slice of Tome aux fleurs in all of Paris! C’est un scandale!"

After a thorough investigation, the culprit has been identified: an American expatriate, on the verge of becoming more French than the French themselves, has been hoarding every last wheel of the prized fromage. Rumor has it that the cheese enthusiast in question is preparing for a “cheese cleanse” in celebration of her 30th birthday — a ritual where only the finest French cheeses are consumed in place of all other foods. Sources close to the situation say she’s also stockpiling crackers and a suspicious amount of “Shea’s vineyard” wine.

In response to the crisis, Parisians have taken to the streets, waving baguettes and demanding justice!

Stay tuned as this story develops, and to

Boulogne-Billancourt, France — La Française des Jeux, the operator of France's national lottery games, announced last month that Shea Barickman had won €20.0 Million in a Loto drawing. Google Unveils Foodies’ Dream Map

Paris, FR — There was caviar d’Aquitaine and homard d’Chausay served with perfect wine parings. Paris's culinary elite gathered at Septime, the Michelin-starred restaurant where even the great and the good have to book three weeks in advance, for an intimate dinner to launch Google’s newest product, Shea Le Gourmet, the Google Map of Shea Barickman, a Dora the Explorer for the epicurean set.

Ms. Barickman, an under -the-radar Instagram influencer (@SheainParis, long before Emily went there) and Paris resident, has eaten her way through the City of Lights and every French city and region since her arrival in Paris in 2020—no small feet since she spent the first year in lockdown during the COVID pandemic. Every restaurant she has dined at, and a few she’d like to, are on her Google Map. Until now, only Ms. Barickman’s closest

friends and family (plus a few Pulitzer-prize- winning playwrights) have been able to access this treasure trove but now, tout le monde can be a Parisian insider and know where to go. “Feeling peckish after a morning shopping at Le Bon Marché ” asked Google CEO Sundar Pichai, as he savored the cheese course of apricot,

miel et chèvre, “take a look at Le Gourmet Shea and you will find yourself sitting down for a sandwich at the trendy Marcel, or a traditional French three-course lunch with French office workers at the stalwart Au Babylone next door. Shea has found the old and the new, the famous and the hidden gems.”

The next products in the Shea/Google collab? Maps of the other European cities that Shea has devoured, including a recent exploration of Montenegro and Greece, and in 2026, your own private “Shea. I.,” the voice of Ms. Barickman to make a reservation for you in French. So far, that service is only offered to her parents.

TWO COUNTRIES, BOTH ALIKE IN DIGNITY, IN MONTENEGRO WE SET OUR SCENE…

TIVAT, ME — Controversy strikes, a revolution begins. After their fifth Olympic Gold Medal, the US Women’s National team has placed a bid for forward Shea Lane Barickman to captain their 2028 team. Moving quickly to secure an asset that might shortly fall into the hands of Le Ligue de Football Professionell, Coach Emma Hayes has made overtures to the Paris based striker.

Reporters at The Alarming News have ascertained that in a brief conversation caught while Barickman was

within range of cellular service, a historic and global deal was struck

Stuck behind cattle moving between Montenegrin pastures, Hayes FaceTimed Barickman, imploring her to lace up her boots for her country. Brands, sponsors, and partnerships would naturally follow. The cows ahead stood still. Minutes later in an unprecedented move, from

manager Hervé Renard, Barickman received a counter offer, on the hopes that her impending nuptial might pull her to Les Bleues. This was only the beginning… Brokered by her agent Sam Lapp, the negotiation was wide ranging, and deeply competitive. Renard offered a ‘maison de ville’ in the Marais. Hayes countered with a duplex on Perry

Street, situated in NYC’s West Village. The negotiation continued, tit for tat, until Barickman had to choose between real estate portfolios to rival American robber barons and French sun kings. Despite months of back and forth, both sides agreed to a secret resolution, which would be revealed at the 2028 opening ceremony.

In any event, Shea Barickman on the pitch in Los Angeles will be representing the red, white, and blue. (Or the blue, white, and red.)

Mirakl and Major League Baseball Enter into New Marketplace Partnership

Paris and New York — Major League Baseball (MLB) and Mirakl, a leading global e-commerce marketplace technology company based in Paris, announced a new partnership today to significantly upgrade and expand MLB’s current e-commerce platform, MLB.com.

In announcing the new partnership in a joint press release, Rob Manfred, Commissioner of Major League Baseball, praised Mirakl and stated that the new partnership will help transform MLB.com into a more robust and experiential global marketplace that will build the MLB global fan base. “I am thrilled that we are starting this new long-term journey with Mirakl,” said Manfred. “They have the vision, expertise, and resources that we need to become a truly global fan franchise,” he added. “Our past relationship with Fa-

natics has been positive, but we needed a partner to take us to the next level, and Mirakl is that partner,” said Manfred.

Adrien Nussenbaum, CEO of Mirakl, thanked Manfred and MLB for the recognition and trust in the Mirakl team to achieve MLB’s long-term global objectives. “MLB is a premier American sports franchise and baseball is a global game. Mirakl marketplace and Mirakl Connect will allow MLB to rapidly achieve its global goals and build its panEuropean fan base in particular,” Nussenbaum commented.

In his press briefing, Nussenbaum credited one of his marketing executives, American Shea Barickman, for highlighting the potential partnership opportunity between Mirakl and MLB and leading the team that cemented the deal. “Shea started with Mirakl in Boston in 2016 and transferred to our Paris office 5 years ago. Over that time period, she has educated me on the global importance of baseball and the added value that Mirakl could bring to MLB,” he stated. “She involved our new equity partner, Silver Lake, in helping MLB understand the opportunities that they were missing. We plan on having Shea continue to play a leading role with this client,” Nussenbaum added.

Harris Campaign Taps American In Paris to Lead Its Ex-Pat Effort

WASHINGTON, DC — The Harris/Walz campaign has hired Shea Barickman to focus on the American community living abroad. Barickman, who has lived in Paris for five years, is a reproductive rights activist and internet marketing wiz.

“Shea brings tenacity, passion and a deep well of experience to this role,” said Harris/Walz campaign manager, Julie Chávez Rodriguez. “She is a force to be reckoned with as a volunteer recruiter and fund raiser. She will not take no for an answer!"

According to the FVAP.gov (Federal Voting Assistance Program), an estimated 2.6 million American living abroad are eligible to vote.

Upon receiving the news, Ms. Barickman expressed excitement and confidence in getting out the ex-Pat vote for the Harris-Walz ticket. “There are an estimated 157,000 potential voters in France and 307,000 more in the UK, I plan on reaching all of them," said Ms. Barickman. "That is more than double the number of voters in red state Wyo-

ming. We are NOT GOING BACK," she added.
