Greetings! As we celebrate our 41st year as a trade association dedicated to building quality homes, I’d like to thank our members for their support and participation with the Mat-Su Home Builders Association, Inc. Since 1976, the MSHBA has been serving its members, the housing industry, and the public at large. Our local organization represents more than 130 Alaskan members – all experts in their field. Throughout the last 40 years, the MSHBA has: provided education to consumers and professionals, advocated for fair and equitable legislation, donated to local businesses and families, and above all – promoted excellence in building and professional standards. The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) helps its members build communities. Each year, NAHB’s members construct about 80% of the new homes built in the United States, both single-family and multifamily. Theodore Roosevelt said, “Every man owes a part of his time and money to the business or industry in which he is engaged. No man has a moral right to withhold his support from an organization that is striving to improve conditions within his sphere.” I look forward to another rewarding year with the Mat-Su Home Builders Association, Inc.
