About me

Between master and critic Design of a building which is a place of meetings for artists and art lovers. This is to be a place with a café bar function, discussion club, also a library with possibilities of purchase of album publications, as well as place of displays of small forms for beginning artists. The building is situated in a park, on the edge of woods. It is in-built to a grass bank and belongs to the fine art gallery with which it is directly joined by an underground tunnel, thanks to which, after having seen an exhibition in the gallery, one can go to the café bar without leaving the building. Except for the all-glass wall, the café bar has no other windows. Therefore, aiming at giving more light to the interior of the place, lanterns in a tube form are installed in the ceiling. In the evenings they have a lighting function, thanks to led lights installed inside them. Colours dominating in the project are various shades of grey, warmed by the shades of brown and beige. Inspiration for the application of these colours was ground, sand and stones, meaning parts of a land. Materials used in the design are raw concrete, polished stone and glass contrasted with wood, wicker and textiles. The interior of the café bar is divided to several zones of various functions. The zones are not divided by walls, but by different displays of the interior parts and various furniture, tables and chairs. There is a zone at the bar, where one can drink coffee or a glass of wine, there is a reading zone, where in comfortable armchairs one can see the albums, there is room for casual friendly discussions, there also is room where at tables of standard height one can work or eat. As the café bar is to be also a place for meetings of authors with art recipients i.e. meetings of the master with a critic, the furniture used in the project are light and mobile, which gives an opportunity for a quick and easy arrangement of the place to the needs of such meetings. There is a storage place to keep folding chairs. In a part of the back infrastructure, except for the storage

foam house The designed dream house is situated in the Southern part of Iceland at the Sk贸gafoss waterfall. Inspiration to it was water, foam and soap bubbles. The house is fully situated under the ground, therefore, in order to give lights to the rooms, round skylights in the shape of domes have been applied. Such solution perfectly fits to the cold climate of Iceland. Some of the domes have also relaxing function. Thanks to the entresols projected inside them, one can spend time integrating oneself with the surrounding . The place is situated on a flat terrain and near to a waterfall, which underlines its form. Seemingly strange form of a house, thanks to its glass construction is light and does not dominate the surrounding, but rather harmonizes with it. As the house is situated under the ground, intelligent architecture has been applied to the project. The fresh air is provided by remotely controlled panes in the domes. Each of the domes has six panes.
