About AIESEC

2

For the past 60 years AIESEC has been activating youth leadership around the world. And it all started with an original idea right after the World War II in our quest to utilize the energy of the youth to create a positive impact in our society. The belief in this idea was carried forward, developed, and strengthened. Today, 64 years later, AIESEC can be described as the 2nd largest network in the world next to the United Nations and the strongest university-based network of young people and the world largest student-run organization with more than 1,000,000 alumni, 60,000 current members, based on 113 countries, present in 1,700 universities, with 10,000 leadership positions and almost 16,000 international exchanges per year.

AIESEC Davao AIESEC in Davao (based in Ateneo de Davao University) is the only AIESEC entity in Mindanao, established 42 years ago. From top 500+ in 2008 and Top 81 in 2009, in 2010, AIESEC in Davao was ranked one of Top 10 most outstanding AIESEC universities in the whole of AIESEC International. We were no. 1 in South East Asia, after being behind UP Diliman, Ateneo De Manila and De La Salle universities for more than 40 years. The members of AIESEC Davao, are offsprings of the marriage of Ateneo and AIESEC. On one side, Ateneo teaches us to excel, on the other side AIESEC teaches how to be global—and so there is only one result; excel globally. Global excellence, of which is to create a bigger positive impact in the society.
