TwinView® TwinView is for those who want the best of both worlds – the benefits of both an open and a glazed balcony at the same time. The TwinView window lets a generous amount of light into the balcony. Since the outer profiles of the window are hidden behind the glass, a uniform glass surface is created when seen from the outside. With TwinView, Balco has taken a step further in the company’s work on environmental impact by reducing the proportion of aluminium by 12 percent. Thanks to a new design, TwinView, despite having thinner profiles, is as stable as its predecessor Twin.

Handrails All Balco handrails are made of aluminium and can be painted in any RAL colour. You can choose from several different profiles. When assembled, the profiles are provided with a matching end cap.

Slabs The balcony slab is the basis of all Balco’s balconies and balcony systems. ConFe®, which stands for “Concrete Ferrum”, means concrete and iron, and is the name of Balco’s own factory-made balcony slab.

The structure of the balcony slab ConFe is made up of a galvanised, powder-coated steel frame. The frame is provided with rectangular, hollow steel profiles that stabilise the structure and make it durable. On top of the steel frame, a 70 mm reinforced concrete slab is attached.

The rebars are fully enclosed to ensure the highest possible protection against corrosion. In addition, permeable concrete acts as an expansion vessel where the water is allowed to freeze without destroying the balcony.

Fixings Balco adapts balcony projects to your building’s conditions. We have qualified and experienced mechanical design engineers who dimension each individual balcony project according to current norms and requirements.

The principle behind the fixing system addresses the movements that occur due to e.g. temperature changes; it also offsets potential dimensional deviations relating to the building. Moreover, it means that installation can be performed safely and effectively.

Control unit The access system’s electromagnet and smoke detector are connected to the gallery’s control unit. In the event of an alarm or a fault, the control unit cuts power to the magnet and all windows open. An alarm is sounded in alarm mode. The system is interconnected so that all window units open when any smoke detector is triggered.

Electromagnetic latch The electromagnetic latch releases the windows during system tests or when the smoke detector cuts power. The windows also open in the event of a power failure.

Carrier Access has a carrier located on the innermost window that brings the remaining windows with it, allowing the glazing to be opened fully. The carrier is connected to a drop weight located next to the side profile. This means that the system does not need electrical power to open it.

Vista® glazed corner A corner of glass gives the balcony a lovely panoramic view and lets the maximum amount of light onto your balcony. Our Vista glazed corner has a unique, patented design that can be combined with several of Balco’s glazing systems. Sun protection Of course we love the light and the glorious rays of the sun. But sometimes we want to be able to screen ourselves off, both from the sun and curious passers-by. Balco has solutions for sun protection and privacy to suit all our glazing systems.

Roller blinds A roller blind for your balcony glazing gives you excellent protection against sunlight and heat, makes it harder for people to see in and makes your balcony a snug environment. All of our glazing systems are prepared for having roller blinds fitted and come with integrated fixings for the roller cover.

You can choose between several different fabric qualities and colours. The fabrics we supply are made of 100% PVC-free acrylic-treated polyester. They are easy to use and always come with a childproof pull chain.

Pleated blinds Pleated blinds in the windows can help achieve uniformity of design. Our pleated blinds are of dual function design, which means that they can be placed anywhere in the window. The pleated fabric gives the balcony a visual boost and, when combined with our compact and frameless system, add a nice touch to the interior design.

Our pleated blinds are made from durable Oeko-Tex certified polyester fabric. The rear side of the blinds has a mother-of-pearl finish, which reflects the light and helps ensure a cooler balcony. The pleated blinds are attached to the window frame by means of colourcoordinated aluminium profiles. There are no loose hanging strings, and this makes them easy and safe to use. If the material gets creased, it easily regains its shape when you move the profiles of the blind together.

Magnetic locks Traditionally, locks are required on sliding windows on a balcony. This is why Balco offers anyone who installs our glazing the option of ordering locks for the balcony system. Where the balcony system comes supplied with magnetic locks, they are located on the outer window profiles, and a set of magnetic keys are included with the balcony glazing.
