Missed.

Many people undergo genetic testing at some point in their lives -- but miss the test for Gaucher disease. This is because, although common, Gaucher disease, Type I isn’t typically life threatening and is not included in all Jewish genetic testing panels. Symptoms of Gaucher disease include enlarged liver and/or spleen, nose bleeds, easy bruising, bone and joint pain. Once diagnosed, Gaucher disease can be treated with medication.
