for reading. At the first floor level there is an independent entrance from the footbridge. The two other stores have the ability to integrate together in the ground floor and their common roof acts as a small seating area for the visitors and residents of the city. A smaller junction at the end of the footbridge completes the route and leads through the atrium. The bus shelter on the east side protects the atrium and it completes the concept. The basic idea of the shelter was a pleated construction which stands lightweight and independent and it connects with the building through an arcade on the south side. The aim is to create a bus shelter which stand as a new landmark in the region. The main goal of this building was the feeling of a light and modern construction with the potential of a possible relocation. Therefore, all the elements of the structure are metallic. In the main building all the bearing structure consisting of metal columns ‘’Η’’ type (30x30cm), beams ‘’Η’’ type (30x35cm) and cross beams ‘’Ο’’ type(5cm). The windows on the facades are organized in a grid of 2.4 m, with metal uprights (5 × 10 cm). In order to emphasize the vertical dimension, the horizontal frames of windows are smaller (5 × 5 cm) than the vertical. Filling walls are made of exposed concrete while the edge walls and the roof are made of metallic panels. On the south side of the building there is an ‘’asco’’ type arcade, the entire structure is supported by buttresses on the uprights of glass windows. The footbridge is supported on metal columns of square section (15 × 15 cm.) and on metal beams of square section (15 × 15 cm). In the first sloping part of the footbridge, where the bridge columns height up to 8 meters, inclined beams ‘’O’’ type are fitted between them. The coating of the footbridge is a metal grate ‘’asco’’ type. The same support system is followed by the small shops with recreational uses. On the shelter, beams ‘’H’’ type (25 × 25 cm.) are placed in the horizontal direction bridging opening of 7 meters. Respectively, in the vertical dimension, the beams bridge opening of 14 meters . Square purlin rafters (10 × 10 cm.) per 2 meters and cross beam ‘’O’’ type ( 5m.) are placed to support the coating. The whole construction is supported through hollow columns ‘’U’’ type (50cm). Each column has six suspensions that support the roof construction at six different points.
