Agrii, a UK agronomy provider, are leading the way in providing holistic advice, utilising new technologies and the best scientific evidence to improve on farm sustainability.
Recognising the demands for emission reductions, Agrii’s role is to help farmers understand how to adopt lower carbon practices while maintaining viability. Working with academia and manufacturers, they are working towards a net zero food supply chain.
It all starts with growing resilience, by focusing on soil health and helping farmers adopt management practices to maximise efficiency. An improved soil supports a healthier plant, enhanced biodiversity, and increased carbon storage.
Secondary to appropriate soil management, inputs become an important consideration. An example being nitrogen fertilisers. With crucial importance for maintaining food security and reducing emissions, Agrii have been expanding their range of more efficient nutrition products. Their ‘greener’ range have a less intensive manufacturing process, and can help reduce nitrous oxide emissions by up to 61%.
By adopting an integrated approach to farm advice, Agrii aim to provide sustainable solutions to produce quality, affordable food with a lower environmental impact.
