Leopoldstadt Tom Stoppard’s Olivier Award-winning new play Leopoldstadt is a passionate drama of love, family and endurance. At the beginning of the 20th century, Leopoldstadt was the old, crowded Jewish quarter of Vienna, Austria. But Hermann Merz, a factory owner and baptised Jew now married to Catholic Gretl, has moved up in the world. We follow his family’s story across half a century, passing through the convulsions of war, revolution, impoverishment, annexation by Nazi Germany and the Holocaust. A company of 40 actors represent each generation of the family in this epic, but intimate play. Filmed live on stage in London’s West End, ‘Tom Stoppard’s masterpiece is magnificent’ (Independent) and should not be missed.

The Book of Dust La Belle Sauvage Set twelve years before the epic His Dark Materials trilogy, this gripping adaptation revisits Philip Pullman’s fantastical world in which waters are rising and storms are brewing. Two young people and their dæmons, with everything at stake, find themselves at the centre of a terrifying manhunt. In their care is a tiny child called Lyra Belacqua, and in that child lies the fate of the future. And as the waters rise around them, powerful adversaries conspire for mastery of Dust: salvation to some, the source of infinite corruption to others. Eighteen years after his ground breaking production of His Dark Materials at the National Theatre, director Nicholas Hytner returns to Pullman’s parallel universe. Broadcast live from London’s Bridge Theatre.

by J.M. Barrie

A spellbindingly beautiful ghost story about time, love and hope from the creator of Peter Pan Directed by Nick Young

Wednesday 6th April at 7.30pm Tickets: £17.00 ( £15.00 Concession )

An old Sussex manor house for sale is haunted by the ghost of a young woman who once lived there. 37 years earlier a young girl, Mary Rose, went missing on an island in the Outer Hebrides. After a month, she mysteriously returned unaware that she had been away. As a young married woman, she revisits the island with her husband, and disappears again. After 23 years, she reappears, but by now her parents, husband and son have all aged, whilst Mary Rose has remained the same. In this hauntingly beautiful play, from the creator of Peter Pan, comes an exploration of time, love and loss. These timeless themes are given a thrilling revival with a fresh treatment in the trademark style of Conn Artists; with an ensemble cast of five actors, and featuring some of Barrie’s own stage directions as interwoven pieces of narrative, original music, a digital soundscape, and a bold reimagining of the ‘traditional’ set design, all creating what living, modern theatre does best. 01242 258002 |

Johnny began his career as one of the founding members of the folk band Decameron and as a solo artist, has gone on to record over twelve albums. Musicians appearing include Paul Burgess (Old Swan Band, ex-John Kirkpatrick Band) on fiddle and recorder; Dik Cadbury (Julie July Band, ex-Decameron, Steve Hackett) on backing vocals; Mick Candler (Kevin Brown, Julie July Band) on drums; and Gareth Sampson on bass guitar.
