A NIGHT IN NOVEMBER

By Marie Jones Performed by Padraic McIntyre. This smash-hit one-man show from the author of Stones in his Pockets features; Kenneth, a protestant dole clerk on his journey to New York to support Jack’s Army; the chainsmoking, hacking, venom-spewing fan Ernie; the poor Catholic welfare applicant whom Kenneth gleefully abuses and the bold, flirtatious women he meets at the Second Avenue Irish bar. THE MAN IN THE WOMANS SHOES

Written and performed by Mikel Murfi Pat Farnon has some business to do in town, a ten-mile round trip that’s no joke when you have to do it in a pair of women’s shoes. As he makes the trip Pat meets little marvels along the way. Funny, tender and at times downright daft, this is a charming encounter with a man who has a boundless enthusiasm for life. DECLAN O ROURKE

The wonderful Declan O’Rourke makes a welcome return to treat audiences once again to his soulful love ballads, including the hit Galileo. By Seamus O Rourke Tom and James are digging a grave for local character ‘Smokey’ McCormack. So what exactly was going on with certain members of the local GAA in the years leading up to Smokey’s death? Widely regarded as O’Rourke’s best play “Dig” is full of the wit and banter we have come to expect from this powerful playwright. A cast of four includes O Rourke himself, alongside Tommy Sharkey, Charlie Mc Guinness, from Victor’s Dung and Shane Carroll. Wednesday 28th & Thursday 29th May 8.30pm €18/€16

Presented by Fishamble Theatre Co A play about dancing and music and love and not settling and feeling like an eegit and being brave and having doubts and trying new things and thinking outside the box and living as well as you can and giving it a lash.
