JUST BECAUSE YOU NEED TO KNOW

INCUBUS

Thanksgiving is fast approaching and the planning that I do every year, really doesn’t feel like planning. It follows a well-rehearsed script year after year. Couple twists now and then around what’s trending in the culinary world, but we know what’s coming. What is Thanksgiving without Tom Turkey, Cornbread stuffing in my Southern house, and homemade cranberry sauce. My favorite is mashed potatoes and gravy, no matter how sophisticated our family gathering become, I always want them on the menu. I hope you all have a wonderful time with your families this year and I urge you to reach out and invite someone from work, or who lives in your neighborhood that doesn’t have family, to be a part of your celebration. No one should be alone for this day of gratitude. I have a tradition of asking everyone at the table to stand up and state at least one thing they are thankful for. It ranges from “waking up this morning” to “my wife’s meatballs”

but we all leave the festivities after a night of laughs and full bellies, with a heart of gratitude.

I want to take this special time to thank everyone who has worked diligently all these years to keep bringing our community BackStage Pass Magazine. From our clients, the advertisers who make it possible to print, to the staff which we consider to all be mostly voluntary, for making sure our community has this amazing resource every month. And you our readers, for choosing to make BackStage Pass your resource for where to go and what to do each month. Happy Holidays, until next month.
