Horoscopes

For April 2017 The planets are now in their Easternmost position. Thus you are correct on the maximum extent of your personal power and independence. You can easily create the conditions of life that please you – and you should. There’s no is appropriate to the world – the world will adapt to you. Following your bliss – though it seems selfish – will actually benefit all those around you. It will, in subtle ways, dream of life.

ARIES (Mar. 21-Apr. 20): April is likewise a prosperous month. Venus crossing your Ascendant on the 5th brings money and financial opportunity. There could be a temporary monetary disturbance – perhaps an unexpected expense – on the 7th or 8th, but it doesn’t affect overall prosperity. Financial Opportunity is seeking you out this month. On the 19th the Sun enters your money house and you begin a yearly financial peak. The 22nd and 23rd bring sudden, unexpected money. You obtain the favour of the money people in your life these days. Health and energy are a very valuable thing this month. Until the 6th you can enhance them further through head and face massage. From the 6th onwards neck massage is a good thing that. TAURUS (Apr. 21-May 21): The spiritual life is the primary headline this month. Last month was spiritual and so is the month ahead, until the 19th. This is a period for internal growth. This type of growth is not perceived by the senses, but it is very real. Later this month – and next – it will reveal itself by your outward actions. Ever since Uranus moved into your 12th house, spirituality has been imperative, and these days even more so. This is an excellent period for psychic studies – the study of sacred literature – and practice. It is a period of transcending physical conditions, rising above bodily limitations. A period for spiritual breakthroughs, enhanced extrasensory perception and a super-active dream life. GEMINI (May 21-June 21): Pluto, your health and work planet, go retrograde on the 18th. Thus job seekers should study job offers more closely. Don’t dare not ask. Resolve all doubts before acting on anything. The same is true of those of you who hire others – check them out more thoroughly. Health and energy are much improved this month. If there have been pre-existing conditions they seem much better now. Improve the health situation in the ways mentioned in the yearly report. With Pluto retrograde from the 18th onwards (and for many months after), be more cautious with changes in your diet or health regime. Do your homework first. CANCER (June 21-July 20): Your love planet, Saturn, started to travel backwards on March 25 and he will be placed in retrograde motion for many more months. Love is basically happy this month, but there is no need to rush into anything. There are romantic opportunities with superiors and people of higher social and professional standing. You have aspects of the ‘office romance’, but let things evolve into they will. The retrograde of Saturn doesn’t stop dating or socializing, but it does slow things down a bit. Social judgement is not enough its usual standard. It is now time to get more mental and emotional clarity on love – to decide what you need and what you want. It will be best to avoid unnecessary overseas travel this month. There can be more family dramas on the 7th and 8th – be more patient with family members then. There are also sudden monetary changes on the 9th and 10th, but the problem passes quickly. LEO (July 21-Aug. 22): The power this month is placed in the 9th house. This served as an example since March 20. So, foreign lands are using in order to call you. There are ecstatic travel opportunities. This is a really good period for college or post-graduate students; there is success in their studies. It is a month for religious and philosophical breakthroughs for those who want them to. Leos like the night life, but this month a juicy theological or metaphysical discussion is as much fun as a night out on the town. The love life is equally fortunate this month. Uranus, the love planet, is receiving positive aspects. This will be socially active kind of month. We could label this a second yearly love and social peak. The 9th, 10th, 22nd and 23rd bring happy romantic meetings, which can take place in foreign countries or for religious or educational functions. VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Power in the 8th house favours projects of personal transformation and renovation. We all have an ‘ideal’ self – the self that we are to become. This is a wonderful month to let that come through, to give birth to it. The spouse, partner or current love is having a banner financial month – a yearly peak. You seem very concerned by this. He or she is liable to be more generous to you. Sun in Aries (since March 20) is considered the best time to begin new projects. Aries is starting energy. However, there is a lot of retrograde activity this month, with 40 per cent of the planets retrograde from the 18th to the 25th, increasing to 50 per cent retrograde after the 25th. January and February were much better for starting different things than now – especially for you, Virgo. Courtesy of freemonthlyhoroscope2016.blogspot.com

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Mars passes the month in your 3rd house. Love is shown on the brink of home, in the neighbourhood and perhaps with neighbours. Siblings and sibling figures in your life are playing cupid – they seem involved in the love life. Mild mental compatibility, ease of communication and the sharing of ideas, are a wonderful romantic turn-on. Foreplay is more verbal than physical. This transit shows that romantic opportunities can happen in educational-type settings – at lectures, seminars and even the library or bookstore. Health is always delicate until the 19th. Ensure that you get enough rest. Do your best to keep high energy levels by dropping the inessential from your life. Hold your focus on the important things. SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): On the 19th the Sun enters your 7th house of love and you begin a yearly love and social peak. The communal life looks very prosperous. It is as if your career this month. It is important to you and this tends to success. Sexual magnetism is always essential for a Scorpio, but now you’re also turned on by the power and status. You gravitate to people above you in status. You meet people who can help you career-wise. A lot of your socializing involves the career after the 19th and it will be useful to enhance the career by collective means. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 20): Last month the planetary power began to turn from the Eastern sector towards the social West. This means that the planetary power is moving away from you rather than towards you – it moves towards others. So should you. There was nothing wrong with your previous independence, and there’s nothing especially noble about your concern for others – it’s just the cycle you’re in. This is a chance to take a vacation from your self – many problems in life have their origin in excessive self-concern – and be there for others. Your good comes through others and not necessarily from your personal abilities or personal initiative. Disability – your social grace – is the dominant factor for your good. So, it’s time to cultivate the shared skills. CAPRICORN (Dec. 21-Jan. 20): The planetary power reaches its nadir (lowest point) in your chart this month. The main activities are internal rather than external. Even your career planet, Venus, spends most of the month in your 4th house. Home and family are the true career – the actual mission – this month. On a more mundane level, this indicates pursuing the career from home, rather than the office. Numerous career changes are happening now, but behind the scenes. Venus re-activates an eclipse point on the 7th and 8th. On the 22nd and 23rd, she conjuncts Uranus, your financial planet, bringing sudden changes. (these can be profitable ones, by the way.) AQUARIUS (Jan. 21-Feb. 18): There is a little family drama on the 7th or 8th. Thus it is a good thing that you’re focusing more on the home and family this month, at least from the 19th onwards. They need you. On the 19th the planetary power reaches the lowest point of your Horoscope (the nadir). Planetary power is most distant from the 10th house of career. So career, though very mild this year, is placed in abeyance for now. Most of the planets are below the horizon in the bottom half of your chart; your 4th house of home and family is tough and your 10th house is empty (only the Moon will move through there on the 22nd and 23rd). PISCES (Feb. 18-Mar. 20): Last month the planetary power shifted to the bottom half of your Horoscope. Night is declining in your year. It is now time to be involved in the activities of the night. Time to become more concentrated on the home, family and your emotional well-being. You won’t be in a position to ignore the career – your 10th house is very strong all month –, but you can shift some energy to the family. Health is of use all month. If you want to enhance it further you can give more attention to the head, face and scalp until the 19th. Face and scalp massages are wonderful if you feel under the weather. After the 19th pays greater attention to the neck and throat. These areas should be massaged regularly. Love is happy this month, but complicated. Mercury, your love planet, goes retrograde on the 28th. Love appears on the brink of home, in the neighbourhood. There are still romantic opportunities with influential kinds of people – especially on the 15th and 16th. There are additional opportunities in educational-type settings at schools, lectures, bookstores, libraries – these kinds of places. Nevertheless, the main issue, as it has been all year, is to bridge differences with the beloved – you have diametrically opposite perspectives.

Eric

Christian is one guy around town who everybody knows. Not only has he traveled the country with a soon to be famous band, or should we say semi famous band, but he has also played with about every quality artist in the area. He has a propensity to show up at just about any venue, at any time and be invited to the stage to add his unique talent to the show. Yes, you read that right – no paid gig, just the love of music and entertaining! If you are a newbie planning on attending one of Eric’s shows, the first thing that will grab you is the sexy, sultry sound of the saxophone and his honeyed vocals. But when Eric reaches for the flute his soonto-be fans suddenly find themselves on a magical carpet ride. By the end of the night it is clear to everyone in attendance they just witnessed a major talent during his blossoming stage and they are elated they get to come along for the ride. “Super power” is one of the ways Eric Christian vocalizes his feelings when describing performing for a massive crowd, but it wasn’t always that way. Born in Orlando, Eric made a name for himself as a self- taught grass roots saxophone player. What most of us call a natural. After high school, Eric began playing in downtown Orlando as a street performer. It didn’t take long for him to meet fellow musicians who invited Eric to join them at venues around the city.

After one year of playing as a street musician, he fortunately met up with local band, The Burnin’ Smyrnans (T.B.S.), and yes, they were from New Smyrna Beach. The synergy was great and they began touring the Jam scene. After releasing their third album “Travel Along,” T.B.S. began playing music festivals such as 10,000 Lakes with headlinersThe String Cheese Incident, as well as Langerado with acts includingBela Fleck & The Flecktones andBen Harper. In 2010 at the Bear Creek Music Festival, Eric met Beebs from the band of superheroes, Beebs and her Money Makers (BAHMM). After 3 years with BAHMM, Eric’s shared the same stage with legends such as John Prine, Willie Nelson, The Funky Meters and Ska music legends Reel Big Fish and Goldfinger. Beebs and her Money Makers put out a brand new album in the summer of 2013 called “No Sleep Tonight” and then went on to The Vans Warped Tour. After that success, the reality TV show “ Warped Roadies” featured them on season 2. “How To Start a Dance Party” co-produced by Reel Big Fish’s lead singer Aaron Barrett was the last release of BAHMM. This last year, Beebs has released the much anticipated album called “The Wurst Album Ever” which uncannily received rave reviews. Eric has also been featured on the Travel Channel on a episode of “ Big Time RV.” Not to mention a stand in with local artists albums. These days you can find Eric around town playing with The Evening Muze, a duo he created with Davey Hakojarvi. It’s amazing to see how these two guys as young as they are can play with such an old soul and grace. From Al Green, Hank Williams Sr, to Earth Wind & Fire, then back to some modern rock. Talent abounds! Be sure to look for Eric sitting in with others at several local venues here in the area such as Tayton O’Brians, The Grind Gastropub, JB’s Fish Camp, Yellow Dog Eats and many others.
