Jeff Blaxland has mastered the relationship aspect of this industry. His career began in 2010, where he learned quickly that his best clients were the “unqualified” clients. No matter where you do your blogging, there are tools you can use to utilize SEO, or "search engine optimization" which means people will have an easier time finding you on search engines like Google or Yahoo. A popular tool, if you use WordPress is the "Yoast" plug-in.

3. GET CREATIVE When you're coming up with titles and content for your blog, don't be afraid to try something new! You want to entice readers to click on the title so spend some time thinking of an approachable or even funny blog title!

STICK TO A COLOR SCHEME When you're designing your blog, take your logo or brand colors into consideration and make sure the colors aren't clashing. In fact, you want to make sure they look good together or are the same!

5x3x2 RULE When you're thinking of how long you want your blogs to be, remember the 5x3x2 rule: 500 words minimum, 3 images, 2 links.

5. CONSISTENCY IS KEY You might not see it right away but being CONSISTENT with your blog is one of the best ways to get (and keep!) eyes on your content! So don't be disheartened if you don't see a ROI right away, and keep writing! CEO 365
