Fastest Trowel & Masonry Skills Challenge - October 19, 2019 The Arizona Masonry Contractors Association and the Arizona Masonry Guild present the 2019 Fastest Trowel on the Block Competition! SATURDAY, October 19, 2019

Germann Road Chandler, AZ 85226 The purpose of the Fastest Trowel Competition is to provide Arizona's best masons the opportunity to showcase their skills and craftsmanship in a friendly, competitive environment. This event is not intended to be a recruiting event but rather an opportunity for industry members to come together to support and celebrate our world class craftsmen and the next generation of masons.

fastest trowel on the block Fastest Trowel on the Block Competition - October 19, 2019 The Mason Contractors Association of America (MCAA) Region G Fastest Trowel on the Block competition will showcase the best of Arizona’s journeymen masons alongside their favorite tender. Each contestant’s goal is to build the largest block wall, using 8” x 8” x 16” CMU with only the mortar provided – in 20 minutes! Contestants must excel in both speed and craftsmanship. SPECIAL NOTE - We must have a minimum of 10 competitors for this event. Deadline to register is Friday, August 9th with no extensions or exceptions. Register today! PRIZES First Place: $2,000, Trophy and entry in the national competition at the World of

masonry skills challenge Masonry Skills Challenge - October 19, 2019 The Masonry Skills Challenge showcases the training of first, second and third year masonry apprentices and high school construction education students. In this competition, contestants are given a project drawing appropriate to their skill level and must layout and construct the project in three hours. The winners (apprentices only) of the masonry skills challenge are then entered to compete in the MCAA National Skills Challenge at the World of Concrete/World of Masonry in Las Vegas, NV (February 2019).
CONTESTANTS Contestants must be currently enrolled in the AMCA Apprenticeship Program or any local high school to compete.
