ichele LaPorte is a Certified Arizona State Master Florist with over 40 years of experience in the floral industry. She grew up working in her family owned florist and greenhouses where her love of the business began. LaPorte worked in several florist shops as a designer and in management positions and eventually, opened her own floral design studio, EveningStar Custom Designs. In December 2015, she purchased Arcadia Flowers & Gifts. “My goal is to create a lasting relationship with my customers by providing the most exquisite customized designs, with the highest quality flowers and botanical products.” IMPACT OF 2020 TRENDS: “Since we are a serviceoriented company and we excel in custom work, we really need to have direct contact with our clients, in person and on the phone. Although it is convenient to place an order for flowers online, the personal connection ensures that we have a real feel for what each person is looking for. There are so many ads on the internet that are misleading, so the consumer’s challenge is to get beyond the ads and find a ‘real’ florist. This takes time that most people don’t have, so my goal is to create an environment where my customers want the whole experience of purchasing their floral gift.”
