Simple Reflections I have toiled over different ideas on what to do with my hair in order to portray the right image; though I have not found the style, A scripture came to mind while pondering: “Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewellery or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.” 1 Peter 3:3-4(NLT) Many of us focus on the outside when the focus really should be to work on our inner self. Our reflections, thoughts, careful consideration and observations are much more important and acceptable to God than all the gold and silver we wear on a daily basis. The inner self to focus on building is gentleness and quietness. This week I encourage you to direct your energy in building your inner self up; be gentle and quiet, and be deliberate in kindness towards others. Bible Declaration And they prayed and said, You, Lord, Who know all hearts ( their thoughts, passions, desires, appetites, purposes, and endeavours), indicate to us which one of these two You have chosen. Acts 1:23 Prayer: Lord, I thank you today; thank you because you know my heart and my intents. For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed. Proverbs 16:2-4 Prayer: I decree and declare; my thoughts will become agreeable to God’s will for my life today in Jesus name. I commit my works to God today, I decree and declare, my plans shall be established and successful in Jesus name.


The thoughts of the [steadily] diligent tend only to plenteousness, but everyone who is impatient and hasty hastens only to want. Proverbs 21:4-6 Prayer: I decree and declare, my thoughts are steady, I am diligent in my doings and I tend to plenteousness today in Jesus name. He is able to exercise gentleness and forbearance toward the ignorant and erring, since he himself also is liable to moral weakness and physical infirmity. Hebrews 5:1-3 Prayer: I decree and declare; today I will exercise gentleness and forbearance to all men. Today, I am gentle; I am kind to all men that come my way today in Jesus name. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Colossians 3:11-13 Prayer: I declare today, I am clothed with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. I am compassionate towards people, I am kind and humble, I am gentle and patient today in Jesus name I pray. Amen Surely, I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother; Like a weaned child is my soul within me. Psalm 131:1-3 Prayer: Surely, I am calm, my soul is quiet, like a weaned child with his mother, my soul is quiet within me in Jesus name. Amen My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places. Isaiah 32:17-19 Prayer: I decree peace in my home, I am peaceful at home, I am secured and quiet in my resting place in Jesus name. Amen. ŠAyoola.B
