LETTER FROM THE EDITOR Dear All First, I would like to say how disappointed I am at the lack of material that has been sent in for this edition. It seems to be the same people that are putting their selves out to write articles. As always, I would like to remind all members that this is your magazine and therefore, we need your news. We have a great team of people working very hard to make the club a success. However, the committee can only do so much. Having said the above I understand that for whatever reason there are times where it is not possible I would also like to say how concerned I am that the swimming sessions are still not being supported well. On a regular basis, there are barely no more than half a dozen swimmers. I would like to finish by wishing all members a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year. Any items for the next newsletter can be sent to myself or emailed to newsletter@aadc.co.uk Mandy Brown 33 Whaddon Chase Aylesbury BUCKS HP19 9QW The closing date for the next edition is 4th March 2017

All nominations for Committee and the special awards need to be returned by Saturday 4th February 2017. May I also remind you that if you wish to nominate someone for committee then you must ask the person if they are willing to stand. REMEMBRANCE DAY On Sunday 13th November 7 members attended the annual Remembrance Day service which took place in the town Centre. Katie and I took a wreath to the Cenotaph. When we got there, I asked Katie to lay the wreath. After the service, we went for coffee and Katie said it was an honour to lay the wreath on behalf of the club. Chris Brown

Feedback Having recently received my newsletter, which was nice to see in colour again. I “picked up” at least one message of members not knowing what is happening in the club. I have told Diane Everest “thank you” for the information regarding the Christmas events but sadly I cannot attend either of these but hope you all have a good time. I will not be sending individual Christmas cards but wish everyone a good Christmas and New Year. Best wishes Diane White THANK YOU Carole Taylor has asked me to thank all members for the lovely birthday card. She celebrated her special day by going out for a meal with her family and friends.

USE IT OR LOSE IT! Concerns have been raised regarding the weekly swimming sessions. They cost the club a fair bit of money and numbers have continued to dwindle. The committee has spoken about it at a recent meeting and have said they will keep an eye on it. Swimming has been a big part of the club for many years and we would like to urge people to please come back and use the pool before we have to take the regretful decision to stop the weekly sessions.

LOVE STORY I will seek and find you. I shall take you to bed and have my way with you. I will make you ache, shake & sweet until you moan & groan. I will make you beg for mercy, beg for me to stop. I will exhaust you to the point that you will be relieved when I’m finished with you. And when I am finished, you will be weak for days. All My Love Signed The Flu Now quit thinking about sex and go and get your flu Jab

A KEEPER As we grow older, and hence wiser, we slowly realize that wearing a £300 or a £30.00 watch they both tell the same time. Whether we carry a £300 or a £30 wallet/handbag the amount of money inside is the same. Whether we drink a bottle of £300 or £10 wine the hangover is still the same. Whether the house we live in is 300 or 3000 square feet loneliness is still the same. You will realise your true inner happiness doesn’t come from the material things of this world. Whether you fly first or economy class if the plane goes down you go down with it. Therefore I hope you realise when you have mates, buddies and old friends, brothers and sisters, who you chat with, laugh with, talk with, have sung songs with, talk about north-south-east-west or heaven and earth That is true happiness!!
