Mil 903, based in Irving, Texas is a new luxury boutique hotel dedicated to catering both business travelers and the local community. Inspired by culture brought to the city of Irving by its travelers and immigrants, the hotel’s aesthetic is reminiscent of the Spanish hacienda with its stucco exterior, central courtyard, large corridors, and exposed structure. These key elements paired with a minimalist approach render a modern and timeless design that belongs to the Irving community. Warm and dusty tones bring to mind the rich colors and patterns found in the skirts of Texas folkloric dancers. These colors form a palette utilized to bring depth and contrast to each space. With steel columns, expansive glass, and a variety of metal looks, Mil 903 looks to Irving’s industrial past while bringing the modernity of today’s architecture. The open floor plan and room for on-site retail growth encourage outreach and future development.
