Encouraging young adults to healing and purpose in Christ

Got Freedom? Unlocking the revelation of Christ by DeAndre’ Jones

in fyou the righteousness of the blood of Christ justifies our reason for living, why do so many choose to walk in death? At what point does this choice become known to the non believer and how much influence does believers have over this revelation…. In Romans 5:16 the Apostle Paul writes with the inspiration of God that ….even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life…. It’s not that so many choose to walk in death, it’s that many have yet to understand the free gift of life in Jesus Christ. We live in a world of chaos that everyone searches for answers and identity that have already been provided. I’m not speaking of those who deliberately deny who God is and what was done at the cross. This is about those who are hurting, in pain and searching for intimacy In places that separate them further from what their heart truly desires. This is a large majority of the world’s youth and young adults. To tap into this understanding, this revelation, this freedom; we must learn not to lean on our own understanding - Proverbs 3:5. We must shift the source and focus from the wrong places and onto the right place of Christ. This must begin with the believer coming into the fullness and understanding of who Jesus of Nazareth was and who Christ is in the actual believer today. There has to be in understanding that Jesus of Nazareth who walked the earth for 30 plus years, preached and healed with disciples and performed eye watering miracles such as raising people from the grave is not who the believer today is suppose to impersonate. This is where the less informed believers influence over non believers becomes distorted. Either the non believer feels that he/she cannot live up to the standards of living their life as Jesus of Nazareth did, sinless and of no wrong doings or they have seen too many try and fail. They then ask “what’s the use of trying?”..

“We live in a world of chaos that

everyone searches for answers and identity that have already been provided. This tends to happen when the gospels are comingled and there is no understanding of the mystery. Christ said in John 14:18-20: 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you Christ begins to plant the seed of the mystery here. The mystery of the Gospel that Apostle Paul will one day deliver to the World. This is the mystery of Christ in the believer. The revelation of Christ in the believer and its dynamics is revealed by the Holy Spirit once God feels the believer is ready. Believers with no understanding of this mystery rely on the works of Jesus of Nazareth. They take up the “Be like me” mentality or ‘What Would Jesus DO” WWJD mindset. They use the Bible as a rule book for correction and judgment rather than a gift of direction and love from God. Cont…..

Encouraging young adults to healing and purpose in Christ

Got Freedom? cont…

They must understand the free gift that has been given requires no work or efforts, wrong or right way to reach others but to be who Christ is in them and this only.

The question before asked, why do so many choose to walk in death? There is a need for the revelation of who Christ is and what happened at the cross. What they’ve seen and heard has displayed Christians as being an impossible species with unprecedented standards to live by. Christians display this view to non believers either due to the lack of the understanding of the mystery themselves or the freedom they don’t understand they have from the World.

There is no blue print for this revelation. It’s all based on an intimate and deep relationship with God. Galatians 1:10-12 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. 11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. 12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. It all begins to sink in. Every human is created differently from all others, there is no other exactly like you. The Christ in me will express himself differently than the Christ in you. Our walks may look similar due to the common purpose of bringing glory to God but the methods in the way it is done and our submission to the spirit is what will be different. This is the revelation that all must have, this is freedom. The freedom of Christ in you……Can’t be imitated and never duplicated. Got Freedom?

This makes it impossible for non believers to understand. They see both extremes. There is the group of individuals who don’t understand the mystery of Christ in them and tries to mirror the impossible works of Jesus of Nazareth or there’s the group who tries to connect so closely with the World that the message is lost. Both extremes are dangerous. The believer has a great deal of influence over the non believer. If believers are to be earthly vessels, salt unto the earth and light in darkness then there must be an understanding of who they are. There’s not much you can do with dim light and tasteless salt. If believers are to come to the revelation of who they are in Christ they will be required to understand what freedom truly is.

How God defines wealth BY Aaron Logan

There’s a lot of talk in ‘prosperity’ circles about blessing; a lot of misconceptions but also a lot of good teaching. There’s a lot of debate around how God wants to bless us. Some talk about money as if it’s the only thing God can bless us with. Others are offended by that and avoid talking about financial blessings completely. God does want to bless us financially, but financial blessings looks different to different people. For some people, that will mean managing millions and using it to bless people around the world. For others, it will mean getting out of debt, owning their own house, and getting their kids through college. You cannot put a dollar amount on prosperity.

To one man, going from $200,000 a year to $400,000 a year is prosperity. For another, going from $30,000 a year to $45,000 a year is an abundant blessing. We shouldn’t judge people for where they’re at, and must learn to recognize it has a great deal to do with the calling on their life. Not everyone is called to be a millionaire. Some are called simply to raise a Godly family and be a light in their community. It doesn’t take millions to do that. In fact, for those that are convinced everyone could or should strive to be a millionaire, I submit this to you….there are people that millionaires cannot reach for Christ. Only average, middle or low income people can reach them. Why?

A World In Christ Ministries Publication

“We shouldn’t judge people for where they’re at, and must learn to recognize it has a great deal to do with the calling on their life and who Christ is in them.” Some people are offended and bitter at wealthy people, for whatever reason, and they just won’t be open to Christ through them. They may be more receptive to someone on their financial level. It’s just like a military strategy (after-all, we are in a spiritual war). Not everyone in the military can fly an F-16. We need ground troops. We need technicians and air traffic controllers. We need colonels and sergeants and generals. We need tech guru’s that can and keep the military on the cutting edge of communication and operational efficiency. There are thousands of different positions with completely different functions, and we need them all. God doesn’t have to make us a millionaire to use us to change the world. Nor do we have to be a millionaire to experience complete joy and fulfillment in life. So this notion of all Christians should strive to be millionaires is baloney (and believe me, I’ve heard Christians that ascribe to that belief, sadly). We must learn that finances are to be in direct correlation with the calling on our life. When we walk in that calling, that’s when we find true fulfillment, and that’s when we reach people for Christ.

Biblical Counseling & Coaching Identity is the Biblical Counseling and Coaching Center of A World In Christ Ministries. The center is committed to helping teens and young adults come to the revelation that their identity is not in their past or current environment, trauma or pain but their identity is in who Christ is in them and the purpose and plan God has for their life. At Identity young adults are shown the way to freedom and purpose through Christ. A World In Christ Ministries Publication

A huge project is underway at Identity. God is leading the ministry to establish over 100 biblical counseling and coaching centers within local churches and on college campuses that do not have the trained staff and resources to minister to the church and local community through counseling and coaching. Teens and their parents, young singles and young couples and families will have a place to seek spiritual guidance, encouragement and prayer in a limited setting. We currently don’t have a timeframe for the completion of this project; we are trusting in God for guidance and will continue to walk in his direction and grace. Encouraging young adults to healing and purpose in Christ

Deliverance – Note from the counselor

Loneliness

is not always the best

feeling. There are a number of reasons why as a young adult you may experience loneliness. Some may be going through a season where they have just ended a relationship with a friend, someone they really liked or even felt they would be better off without. As a young adult transitions and movements are not uncommon so it’s likely to go through seasons of loneliness as God reveals who you are and where He’s calling you. Sometimes you simply out grow your current environment and the people in it because of what God is doing in your life. For whatever reason, the hurt and pain you may be feeling is not uncommon nor unnecessary. We serve and worship an intimate God that has created us to love, feel, want and react to the comfort of being amongst others. It’s important to remember that God has purpose for you. During a season of loneliness spend much time in prayer before God. The Father will use this time to deliver you from the fear of being lonely and keep your mind focused on who He’s calling you to be and not on the desperation and need to find comfort in something or someone else. Scriptures tell us, He is the God of all comfort. -DeAndre A World In Christ Ministries Publication

Prayer Father I may not always understand why things happen and go a certain way. I do understand that you are in control and it’s not my own understanding for me to lean on but yours. I trust you and I love you. Please deliver me from the fear of being lonely and it’s burden. Help me focus on the people and the environment that you’ve called me to.

Whether you’re the candidate with plenty of opportunities or the one that received one call back, you’re always faced with the question, “Is this the right opportunity for me?” This can be an emotional rollercoaster which makes it hard to hear from the Spirit and what God is saying to you. Here are some things to consider while hearing from God:

Career Coach

1.

Is this decision being made for money? No decision should be made for “just” money. Money is important but lets not forget money is a tool used to carry out your purpose and God’s plan. Don’t get caught up in “things” and what you can buy with money and allow it to take you off track.

2.

Can I perform the responsibilities of this job without jeopardizing who I am in Christ? This is an important question to consider. As Christians we are asked to go into dark places and shine the light of Christ. Problems occur when we go into these places and adapt to the darkness. Be careful not to forget your purpose. We must also be mindful of our integrity, potential lust and other characteristics that could be at risk. I wouldn’t take the job that put’s me in the position to lie or be dishonest in order to meet my goals or demands of the position.

Being a Christian in the Workforce

The Right Opportunity There is something about the fall that sings “Opportunity”. School starts back, new relationships begin, and there is a renewed focus amongst everyone. You can just hear the, “this year will be different”…coming from everyone’s thoughts. Even in a down economy a good candidate that manages to set themselves apart from the competition can be faced with a number of opportunities in the job market. There is also the candidate that’s been praying for any opportunity and a decent one comes along. Sixteen interviews and one call back.

Salvation Jesus Christ is the way…. Salvation is the ultimate gift of God’s grace. It cannot be gained or earned but is freely bestowed upon all who put their faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ at Calvary. All who so trust the Savior are forgiven of their sins and born into the family of God by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit. (John 1:12; Acts 16:30-33; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 1:7; 2:8-9)
