Lifeguarding Instructor Trains lifeguarding instructor candidates to teach American Red Cross Lifeguarding Core Courses. Minimum age: 17 years, possess a current Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED and complete the Pre-course Session. Pre-course Session will include a skills polish to the Red Cross Standard in the following skills: Active Victim Front Rescue, Active Victim Rear Rescue, Passive Victim Front Rescue, Passive Victim Rear Rescue, Submerged Victim in Shallow Water, Submerged Victim Rescue, Backboard Extrication, Spinal Extrication, Spinal Extrication- High Edges, 1 & 2 Person CPR, and Multi Rescuer Response. Safety Training for Swim Coaches The American Red Cross Safety Training for Swim Coaches program, which uses a blended learning delivery method that combines online knowledge acquisition and an in-water skills session. This program was developed in partnership with USA Swimming to teach those involved in competitive swimming, including coaches, officials, athletic trainers and aquatic exercise trainers, how to help: Maintain a comfortable and safe environment for swimmers, prevent accidents and emergencies, respond to swimmers with illnesses or injuries in water or on land. Water Safety Instructor Have you always wanted to teach students how to swim? The Water Safety Instructor course will certify instructor candidates to teach the American Red Cross swim lesson program.
