NCADV Personalized Safety Plan www.ncadv.org/personalized-safety-plan Although you can't control an abuser's use of violence, you can plan how you will respond to future abusive or violent incidents, prepare for the possibility of an incident happening, and plan how get to safety. It is your decision if and when you tell others that you have being abused, or that you are still at risk. Friends, family, and coworkers can help with your safety plan if they are aware of the situation and want to help.

Through its key initiatives and special projects, NRCDV works to improve community response to domestic violence and, ultimately, prevent its occurrence.

Partnership Against Domestic Violence www.padv.org The mission of Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV) is to end the crime of intimate partner violence and empower its survivors. Their vision is a community free of domestic violence. They work to educate the public on the dynamics of intimate partner violence; promote healthy dating relationships among adolescents and teens to prevent future violence; offer safety and shelter for battered women and their children; restore power, self-sufficiency, and control to survivors; and create an effective and coordinated community response to intimate partner violence.
