Vance Elementary - School-wide Implementation of CRM Awardees: Mitzi Levering, Lauren Evans, Amy Powchak, Stacy Montana Last year, nearly every staff member at Vance Elementary School was trained in the Community Resiliency Model, a framework explaining the biological causes and impacts of behavior, trauma, and resiliency in order to support self-regulation in both children and adults. In The 2017-2018 school year, Vance Elementary will continue this successful momentum by making the Community Resiliency Model part of the daily lives of staff and students alike through the creation of a uniform school culture. Through training, practice, and implementation of the six wellness skills of the Community Resiliency Model, the staff and ultimately the students will be equipped to identify and develop skills to broaden their Resilient Zones and better deal with life's stressors.
