JÁ PENSOU QUE A PRÓXIMA VIAGEM PODE DURAR PARA SEMPRE?

té meados dos anos 1970, cada vez que eu embarcava num voo pensava nos pontos turísticos que visitaria, outros locais que descobriria, sabores que experimentaria, melhores ângulos para eternizar aquele momento em foto, souvenir que compraria etc. Ou seja, em “turistar”. E foi assim que eu e Vilfredo decolamos rumo ao Caribe para curtir o presente dado por minha mãe, que ficou com nossos filhos. Num dos mais encantadores paraísos do planeta, descobrimos que uma viagem não termina, necessariamente, quando retornamos para casa. Mais do que isso! Aquela viagem mudou completamente as nossas vidas. Foi no Caribe que emergiu nosso estilo de vida – que não julgamos ser pior ou melhor do que o de ninguém. Um jeito livre de viver que faz, a todos nós, pessoas mais felizes e realizadas. Então, voltando àquela viagem, lá fizemos nosso primeiro passeio de barco a vela. UNTIL THE MID-70S, each time I boarded a flight, for instance, I used to think of the touristic hotspots I would visit; other places I would discover, flavors I would try, the best angles to capture that moment for eternity, souvenirs I would buy etc. In other words, being a real tourist. So it was that me and Vilfredo took off for Caribbean to enjoy the gift given by my mother, who took care of children . In one of the most charming destinations of the world, we have discovered that a trip does not finish necessarily when we are back home. More than that! That trip has completely changed our lives. It was in Caribbean that emerged our lifestyle, which we do not judge as be better or worse than anyone else. It is a free way of living that makes us more fulfilled and happy people. So, back in that trip, we had our first sailing boat ride. The feeling was overwhelming, and, still on board, we promised we would come back to that paradise in our own sailboat.
