Publisher’s Note With summer in full bloom, this month’s issue sees our fashion pages blossoming with a plethora of divine creations. On our cover, artist and photographer extraordinaire Sennaspirit Coronet captures the spirit of Ora Trei Designs. We have not one but four fashion spreads this month of which three showcases new skins you could easily slip into. Transform yourself into a hot blooded male that is distinctively desirable of TheAbyss’ newly released skins, get creative and on the wild side with Lionskins or be bold and beautiful with Nikita Fride skins and designs. Also gracing our fashion pages are the latest releases from one of our much loved Goth Designers Rfyre that is edgy and uber cool. You can also look forward to getting up close and personal with your favourite designers Zaara Kohime, Aoharu and Kalnins as well as expect the usual variety of goodness that AVENUE brings into your Second Life from buying and decorating your homes to learning what makes media mogul Wiz Nordberg of SLCN ticks. Next month you can expect two issues of AVENUE - one that will be our usual inworld and online publication and our first ever real life issue for the Second Life Community Conference. If you haven’t gotten in one being part of this momentous issue to increase your brand’s exposure, don’t wait any further... let’s make history together.
Rusch Raymaker Publisher & Editor in Chief AVENUE
Editor’s Note Altruism is a a trait in almost every active Second Life resident. We love to help people in need, this is evident in the many events that we have witnessed lately. July brings so many activities inworld that caters to our humanitarian nature. RFL goes full swing with the various network of do-gooders associated with the cause to create fund raising activities that aims to contribute to the activities of the American Cancer Society. For instance, AVENUE had the auction where its employees, from the CEO to the staff sell ing their services for the benefit of Relay for Life to the highest bidder. This year’s Hair Fair, an annual charity event for Locks of Love is also in effect, taking us all hair and shopping addicts into an altruistic shopping spree. Lindens were spent everywhere, lag ensues, and our respective inventories are once again bloated, in the name of charity. As this goes on, so do the various fashion events and activities all over the grid. It is often in this magazine that we feature art of the visual kind, but this month, we offer art that deals with prose. This month, we feature INKSTERs, one of Second Life’s popular writer’s group dedicated to help improve the craft of writing. In the article, one will realize that not only SL is a great place for visionaries, it is also a place for Literary Arts as well, oftentimes merging into the visual realm in the form of plays. We invite you to try and discover their activities inworld, to listen to their witty exchange and poetry, and who knows, you might discover your hidden knack for words!
