The Zell am See-Kaprun Card is valid from 15 May to 15 October.
Schmitten zell am see
Float up to the 2.000 m summit with the world’s first designer cable car, from the house of Porsche Design. One can see the Eastern Alps, the Hohen Tauern with the Kitzsteinhorn - Salzburg’s only glacier-, the Großglockner and the Wilde Kaiser from the many viewing platforms along the high altitude promenade. There are numerous charts along this easy path relating stories about Zell am See’s popular mountain, as well as many surprise stations for children. “Schmidolins Feuertaufe” is an ideal adventure path for families. The new “Schmidolins Feuerstuhl” gives cool kids the opportunity to ride electrobikes to follow the tracks of Schmidolin, the Scmitten dragon. It is best to reach the adventure path with its mini ropes course, adventure stations and electro-bike course - with the Areit I or the cityXpress. Discgolf is a combination of frisbees and golf. The world’s highest 18 hole course for beginners and pros is becoming more and more popular with hikers. Discgolf frisbees can be hired in the Schmitten-Infocenter, the Schmitten valley station and the Sonnkogel top station. 6
Entry: With the Zell am See-Kaprun Card all lifts can be used as often as you like. The only exception: one ride each on the Schmittenhöhe lift to the peak within 6 days. Special trips outside the hours of operation as stated below are excluded. Guided hiking tours, according to the Schmitten hiking programme, are free with the summer Card. The Maiskogel is the mountain for families to enjoy in the centre of Kaprun. The green meadows, clear mountain streams and a well-planned paths invite you to hike, mountain bike, linger and relax. The free guided tours with Willi, our authorised hiking guide, are an unforgettable experience. He takes you to the most beautiful places with amazing views of the Kitzsteinhorn, the Hohen Tauern and the lake Zell. Enjoy Pinzgau specialities and home-made alm products in the six sustainably managed huts and snack bars. The petting zoo next to the sunny terrace of the Maiskogel Alm is a favourite place with kids. Their hearts are sure to beat faster whilst enjoying close contact to sheep, chickens, rabbits, donkeys and goats. Maisi-tip for mountain bikers: Are you looking for a special challange? High altitude reservoirs | Kaprun
Experience the strength of water and eternal ice: you can reach Austria’s mountain region, with the most water, by taking transfer buses from the Kaprun valley. Deep blue lakes wish to be discovered and the panoramic views of the Großglockner group are unique. You climb 1.200 altitude metres in only 45 minutes, through natural rock tunnels along the waterfall floor. Both the Mooserboden and Wasserfallboden dams together store more than 160 Mio. m³ of water. Take a look inside the dam wall of the Moosersperre by joining a guided tour (special children’s tour: every Tuesday at 1.15 pm). The „Electricity & Ice“ adventure world tells you the history of the Hohen Tauern and its Tauern power. More knowledge about electricity gained from water power can be gathered at the main power station’s information centre. There are marked paths around the dams for exploring the Hohe Tauern – whether it be discovering the educational herb path or a walk around the Höhenburg viewing point. The herb path is ideal for families and easily wide enough for prams. 12

Boat trip Lake Zell
Experience a wonderfully relaxing way to enjoy your holiday in Zell am See – on the water! The ‚MS Schmittenhöhe‘ makes a round trip on the Zeller lake with unforgettable, picturesque views of the Hohen Tauern mountains, the Kitzsteinhorn glacier and the Steinerne Meer. Both the ‚Großglockner‘ and ‚Kitzsteinhorn‘ bring guests comfortably from one shore to the other across the lake. Round trips and charter tours are an unforgettable pleasure. VIP-Special: those who love luxury can lie in a deck chair on the sun deck during a round trip. Note: this costs € 3,50 due to limited seating. Events tip: Swing into dancing – every Friday in July and August there is an evening round trip with music and dance on the MS Schmittenhöhe. Price for the whole evening is € 15,– per person.

Sigmund-Thun Gorge Kaprun
Visitors walk along a narrow path over many wooden planks and bridges beside steep rocky walls. The tumultuous wild water of the Kaprun river is a fascinating natural spectacle, which you should not miss! 14.000 years ago the whole Kaprun valley was covered by a glacier. The river dug out a depth of 32 metres and a length of 320 metres, leaving rugged and smooth rock surfaces as well as wild potholes behind. Entry: Entrance is free with the Zell am See-Kaprun Card. Vötter’s vehicle museum | Kaprun
Take a nostalgic flashback to beautiful oldtimers from the 50s – 70s, old motorbikes and comical vehicles from long ago. Herr Vötter’s vehicle collection has 180 exhibits, on 1000 m² of floor space, showing the technology and design of the cars, bikes and tractors - from the legendary golden years. Museum of Local History | Saalfelden
Since 1965, the Regional Museum in the castle houses cracks in Saalfelden and is one of the most important museums in the province of Salzburg. Four levels of living exhibits of native culture and traditions to objects of archeology, geology and mineralogy issued. The newly designed Cribs exhibition and a large collection of sacred Baroque art are also available. By the end of October 2012 is the exhibition 100 years ski club Saalfelden. Gothic & Mining Museum Leogang Dive into the world of the Middle Ages. Experience the world of everyday spirituality and religion of medieval varlets in the Hütten museum. Hütten was originally a mining village. Tourist Mine Leogang
Here you can follow the tracks of medieval mineworkers in the oldest silver mine in land Salzburg. Explore the galleries of this historical mine, sometimes stooped and sometimes in single file, with a mining guide. One can also gather important information about the mining for bronze and 600 years of the mine’s history. Afterwards you can enjoy local delicacies in the Knappenstube. Vorderkaser Gorge st. martin Tread the breathtaking path of this fascinating natural landmark. Your walk takes you over 51 footbridges and 35 stairs with a total of 373 steps. The path to the entrance of the Vorderkaser Gorge leads you through a beautiful recreational and natural bathing area.

Seisenberg Gorge weiSSbach This gorge is the door to the “Naturpark Weißbach” and is therefore an ideal starting point for a variety of walking tours. The stops for the ALM adventure bus are also right on the path.

the happiness 1. The Zell am See-Kaprun Card enables card holders to use the services to their stated extent during the time of their stay at one of the participating accommodation providers. The card is valid from 15th May to 15th October of any given year.
2. The extent and type of the services are stated in the overview of services offered by the Zell am See-Kaprun Card. The latest version of the overview is considered to be valid. Special trips or events during varying opening hours are excluded from the scope of services. 3. The Zell am See-Kaprun Card is non-transferable. Guests receive their own card at the participating accommodation providers or at the Zell am See-Kaprun Information office. It may only be used during the above-stated period of validity and during the time that the guests spend on holidays in the region. In cases of non-compliance or intended abuse, the card will be confiscated without substitution. Guests will be held liable for services they have illegally taken advantage of or damage caused by abusive use of the card. 4. Loss, theft, or malfunction of the card have to be reported to the accommodation provider or the Zell am See-Kaprun Information office immediately. 5. All participating partners of the Zell am See-Kaprun Card may restrict or cancel their services due to unfavourable weather conditions, frequency-dependant or technical reasons, and other major causes that prevent them from providing their services. In this case, neither the Zell am See-Kaprun Tourismus GmbH nor the service or accommodation providers can allow any claims for compensation. 6. The card does not include insurances of any kind for the activities that can be engaged in after presenting the Zell am See-Kaprun Card. 7. By using the Zell am See-Kaprun Card, guests automatically accept the general terms and conditions of the service providers. Instructions of the service and lift personnel of the service providers have to be followed at any time.
