An impressive

atmosphere

Granted, during the golden days of the ‚Tauern gold‘, our Lampenhäusl was not exactly a very hospitable address. It simply served miners as a place to clean, repair, and re-fill their lamps. The smell of paraffin was everywhere. After work, those valuable lamps were also stored in this building. Nowadays, things are different: this 260-year-old small wooden house is at the centre of our hotel compound. In spite of extensive upgrading works and expansions, we have successfully maintained a traditional and rather informal family-atmosphere. However, it is no longer the smell of paraffin lamps that fills the air. Now, it‘s our first-class chef‘s responsibility to tingle your nostrils, instead. Our guests can expect an extra special holiday in an extra special hotel. We offer all kinds of activities both in the summertime and in the wintertime. We are situated in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park and in the immediate vicinity of the unique ‚Europa-Sportregion Zell am See-Kaprun‘, so there is an almost endless list of different leisure activities to choose from, which make for unforgettable experiences every day.

Exzellent food and a wide choice

Details are in the fore at the Lampenhäusl. We combine a cosy atmosphere, courteous waiter service, and - naturally excellent food, all of which guarantees that our guests are exited about us time and again! And our chef cook does not just prepare traditional Austrian dishes or regional home-style cooking, although that‘s just his cup of tea. No, our cook does see further than the rim of his plate, if you like, and even learns from our guests. Whether Asian or Arab - he knows how to deck the table with a great variety of dishes.

State-of-the-art rooms

Massage showers, large television sets, and Internet access: we have upgraded, enlarged and adapted our facilities to meet state-of-the-art standards. Now, the Lampenh채usl does not only have a romantically furnished restaurant and a large winter garden but also two different kinds of rooms that make a trip to Austria even more attractive.

relaxation with a view

Introducing our new sauna complex with chill out area and solarium. It will rejuvenate the most tired of spirits. In addition relaxing massages are offered on request. Sun lovers can recharge themselves outdoors on our green area or on our spacious sundeck. Finally the breathtaking view (outlook) of the Fuscher mountains makes the whole experience of your stay in our hotel complete.

Camping in the middle of the National Park

Situated in the idyllic natural landscape of the Hohe Tauern National Park, we offer enthusiastic campers a really special place in our holiday region. Our site is located directly next to the hotel premises. Campers are also very welcome to make use of the infrastructure of the Lampenhäusl, such as its sauna and restaurant. To us, ‚camping site‘ does not just mean providing electricity and water. There is a small shop at our Lampenhäusl site where our guests can purchase bread, milk, drinks and everything else that you may need. Keen swimmers can enjoy themselves at the heated swimming pool of Fusch which is located not far from the camping site. With our guest card, discounts are available to you for various sports service providers and sights in the region.
