Wednesday ric St

We at the Achensee Children’s Club have again come up with a great week’s programme for you. Simply join in and enjoy great days out beside the Achensee, full of fun and adventure. We look forward to seeing you.

Kuno the artful goblin

Red, tousled hair, enormous flipper-like feet and earth-coloured arms and legs: that’s Kuno the goblin. As a goblin, he finds anything that might be a pain to other people is really cool. Yes, when Kuno the goblin is let loose on starting a fire, puffing and blowing, splashing around or model making, all the children gather round him. If you visit him too, he will show you a lot of tricks that you will certainly never forget!

Climbing fun by the Dalfaz waterfall

Off we go into the mountains! Put on stout shoes and bring plenty of courage with you: do you fancy climbing a steep rock face, flying over a deep ravine on a zip-line, balancing on a slackline or clambering up a tree? Today, you can try all of these. Our officially certified mountain guide will have a harness, helmet and ropes for you. It’s hungry work, so thank goodness we have packed some tasty sandwiches.

The Wusel Academy

Today, you will meet Wusel and our forest ranger Andreas in the Karwendel Alpine Park. If you would like to know about the ranger’s work in the forest, then come with us to the Wusel Academy. Here you will learn how the ages of the different trees are worked out, how you can measure their height easily or why trees are so good for making our air clean. Spend all the day with Wusel in the forest. Afterwards, you will receive a Wusel certificate and will be a junior forest ranger.

Thursday evening

Walk by torchlight

We meet at 9 p.m. in Maurach at the Buchau car-park (football ground). We shall be waiting for you with torches and candles to look for Kuno the Goblin by the lake. Who will be the first to discover him and his fiery magic? Continues till approx. 10 p.m.

Pirate Day

Hey, you landlubber, bring along your bathing things! Today the Achensee belongs to all pirates, big and small. We board our raft, hoist the skull and crossbones and put out onto the lake. Where is that treasure chest, because without the treasure there will be no pirate feast around the camp fire. Are you coming with us? Life jackets will be provided!

Children’s games festivals Tuesday Attention all horse lovers! Today is your day. The horses are saddled up for experienced riders and those who want to try out riding for the first time. Of course, there will also be a tasty lunch, fun and games, craftwork and a chance to let off steam on the playground.

On horseback

We are putting on our children’s games festivals again this year for you! Come and join in the face-painting, craftwork and games. We shall also have a bouncy castle, slides, figures made from balloons and much more for you to enjoy.

Dates: 20th July 2011 from 10 a.m. on the bathing beach at Achenkirch and on 6th August 2011 from 12 a.m. noon together with the “Achensee Attack” on the beach at Maurach. Please note that there will be no children’s programme on these days!
