FIREWALL The installation incorporates ideas of temporality, transparency, light and color derived from Loie Fuller’s Firedance, one of the earliest stage performances to exploit the theatric potential of electric light. Built of corrugated cardboard, the wall responds to dominant viewpoints

by allowing for maximum transparency through the material effect of the corrugation in conjunction with applied light. The process of dance analysis, material studies, computer modeling, and assembly were all conglomerated into the final design. The aim is to

produce, on site, the feel of the Firedance through analysis and the systematic execution of desired effects. The result is engagement with both site and pedestrians by an obscuring of figures through phenomenal effects...
