Mahan Esfahani harpsichord Established as one of the world’s most gifted recorder players, Erik Bosgraaf’s richly varied musical background – including a period spent playing in a rock band – underpins his omnivorous approach to music-making. This adventurousness and versatility make him a natural partner for Aurora Orchestra, which has built its reputation on musical eclecticism and collaboration across artistic frontiers. The result of their partnership is a truly unique Bach Unwrapped programme which includes two ravishing concerti, new Bach chorale transcriptions created by Bosgraaf for this performance, and the world premiere performance of Origami Songs – a new work for chamber orchestra and recorder by Anna Meredith, one of the UK’s most celebrated young composers. Also featuring special guest Mahan Esfahani (harpsichord). TRY MAKING OUR ORIGAMI SWAN OVERLEAF >>
