Branding Tool Box The brand requirements are extremely complex. As such we suggest a matrix of tools to be applied according to the requirements of each ETPL offering and according to its target audience. Like this puzzle, ETPL requires flexibility of form in order to create a united Brand look and feel. Each communication item should also have the ability to operate as a stand alone piece (as and when required). The following pages discuss Brand Tool ‘Options’.


ETPL Development of Graphic Device A Graphic device has been developed to enance the Brand and create simple visual recognition. This graphic may be used independently or as part of a potential SUB-Identity.

What is unique about the A*STAR Offering? Everything. The entrepreneurial spirit behind the entire group. The vision. The multiple offerings across a variety of Industries. The X-FACTOR.

The X-Factor, evolved from the original identity.

Altered scale of molecules — a reflection of the diversity of offerings and the various stages ETPL may take them to.

Developing a molecular structure within the letterform — the suggestion of multiple offerings within ETPL.

By adding an angle and more molecules, dynamism and fluidity is created. Stability and flexibility are suggested. The image also has the potential to be recreated in a variety of colours.

ETPL Option 1 Visual World Visual imagery sets the tone for the brand personality. While it is important to communicate with one voice, it is also an advantage to consider alternative executions of your language to suit specific targeted markets. For example, a corporate brochure will be talking with a collective ‘verbal’ voice, whereas a Success Story may be aimed at a specific Industry sector and require use of Industry specific language. Both words and images need to communicate and connect effectively with their audience.

COMMERCIALISATION DIVISION

Dynamic crop on people shots. Focus on faces, individuals — this promotes the end benefits to people and the involvement of people throughout the ETPL process. The human touch adds a softer side to a high tech offering. Creates connection with the customer.
