mandibular fracture than patients with no fracture in the impacted or unerupted teeth area. Their was a statistically significant variation in the risk for a mandibular fracture depending on impacted or unerupted teeth presence (x =5.29, p<.05).Their study showed that the presence of an impacted or unerupted teeth significantly increases the likelihood of an mandibular fracture. In 2008 D. H. Duan and Y. Zhang studied in a heading as â&#x20AC;&#x2DC;Does the presence of mandibular third molars increase the risk of angle fracture and simultaneously decrease the risk of condylar fracture? The incidence of fractures was compared in 700 patients with and without impacted third molars. Their results showed that patients with lower impacted third molar had a lower risk of condylar fracture and a higher risk of angle fracture than those without impacted third molar when injured by moderate trauma force.
