THIS WEEK’S DAILY MASSES 7:30 a.m. St. Robert Bellarmine, Bishop, Confessor, & Doctor of the Church St. Boniface, Martyr (Commemoration) St. John Baptiste de la Salle, Confessor St. Ubaldus, Bishop & Confessor St. Paschal Baylon, Confessor Vigil of Pentecost

CONFESSIONS: The Sacrament of Penance may be arranged by appointment. If unable to reach Fr. John-Mark to make an appointment, he is usually available in the office on Saturday afternoons from 2:00 to 4:00, and can accommodate drop-ins for the penitential rite at that time. ENQUIRERS: If you are interested in attending a course in the fundamentals of Catholic Faith and Practice, either preparatory to becoming a Catholic Christian, as a “refresher” or to fill in gaps in your knowledge of religion, please let Fr. John-Mark know. He will try to schedule a series of exploratory classes after a few more people have expressed such a desire. MASS INTENTIONS & PRAYER REQUESTS: A weekday Mass may be offered for special intentions upon request. Such intentions are usually announced at the Orate fratres with the first name of the person for whom the Holy Sacrifice is offered, and memorialized during the Canon of the Mass at the commemoration of the living or departed as the case may be. It may be kept private if that is the wish of the person requesting the Mass, or a “Mass Card” can be issued with the details of the Mass to give to the person whose petitions have been made. In many churches and religious houses, it is customary to offer the celebrant a monetary “stipend” for his ministrations. Due to the strict vow of poverty of Augustinian Missionary Priests, it is asked that any such consideration is purely voluntary, and be made as an offering to the Mission instead of any form of gratuity to the priest himself. If you simply have a concern for which you would like Father to pray, he will be happy to add it to his daily prayers. THE EMERGENCY FUND: We have had an extraordinary number of requests for one-time emergency assistance, from stranded travelers, individuals who have had recent serious illness, and others in severe and legitimate distress. Our fund for that purpose is running perilously low. If you are moved to assist with a special offering for this purpose, please mark your check or the offering envelope to so indicate. If you have any ideas for fundraisers, or are willing to solicit friends or family for donations, let Fr. John-Mark know, and he will try to assist in any way possible.

OFFERINGS: No collection is taken during Mass. Offerings may be deposited in the basket on the back table. Envelopes are provided there for your convenience and privacy. (Contributions may also be made online using the “Donate” button on our Facebook page). COFFEE HOUR: Coffee and Tea are available after Mass in the Center’s conference room. Please join us to get better acquainted and share a time of fellowship. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: The work of our Social Service Ministries is dependent upon the labor of our dedicated volunteers. Everything from housekeeping chores and office work to mentoring and case coordination fits together in making a positive impact in peoples’ lives, and enabling them to lift themselves out of the downward spiral of poverty. If you even only have a few hours a month to spare, please consider signing up. You can make a difference. NEXT SUNDAY: Feast of Pentecost concluding the Easter Cycle of the church year, and marking the beginning of the work of the Church, empowered by the Holy Spirit. Preceding the Mass will be the Administration of the Sacrament of Baptism, and the renewal of Baptismal vows. The weekday Mass schedule is on the back of this bulletin. DAVITT FAMILY FUNDRAISER: A Spaghetti feed will be held at the Eagles’ Lodge the evening of Saturday, May 25th to benefit the family of slain Salvation Army worker Josh Davitt. The dinner is $5.00, with the request of a donation of at least $1.00 at the door. Fr. John-Mark is planning to attend. Please consider joining him to help this family and show inter-faith and inter-agency solidarity. Further details will be posted in next week’s bulletin, but we wanted to give you advance notice so you can save the date.
