Winter Hours Beginning Monday, November 3rd, the resident office hours will be changing. We will now be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30pm, Saturday 10:00am to 5:00pm, and closed on Sunday. Resident Community Watch If you’d like to be involved with our new community watch, please contact Sue Wasserman at writestuff@mindspring.com. Community Enhancements • In October, new mulch was added to enhance the Pet Park and Bus Stop Pavilion. In addition, a new paved path was installed to both the Pet Park and Playground, as well as next to the grilling Pavilion! • Additional community bulletin boards were added to the Mail Station! We previously installed two encased bulletin boards to showcase community newsletters and social reminders. In addition, we have added two new community bulletin boards for YOU to use!!! Don’t forget there is also a community bulletin board in the Laundry Center for use as well! • November will be another month of community enhancements for Audubon Place! Due to the inclement weather conditions in October, the community project schedule was pushed back. Now that the mulching and paved paths have been completed, new landscape lighting will be installed along the path to the Pet Park and Playground to create more visibility at night. • The property will also be adding another street lamp behind the recycle center, near the Pet Park. • The Recycling Center project is still scheduled to be completed before the end of the year. Updates on this to follow!! Community Courtesy Officer Please feel free to call our Courtesy Officer to report any noise or community disturbances after business hours. Please remember there are community “quiet hours” between 10:00pm 8:00am. To reach the Courtesy Officer, please dial the main office number at 828-650-6570 and select Prompt #4. You may choose to leave a message that will be responded to during business hours, or choose to page out the Courtesy Officer for an immediate response. As always, for any emergencies please dial 911.


Community Maintenance • Beginning Monday, November 3rd, our service team will be providing weekly maintenance tips via our Facebook page! Don’t miss out, like us on Facebook today so that you will be up to date with these great tips! • The maintenance team has created a new preventative maintenance schedule. Each week, the maintenance team will perform preventative maintenance in one building to include both an interior and exterior inspection and cleaning. The interior inspection and cleaning will include the HVAC system, water heater, and smoke detectors. The exterior inspection will include testing the emergency lights, exit signs, replacing and cleaning breezeway lights, and pressure washing the breezeway. Please remember that personal items are not to be stored in the breezeways. This includes bikes, toys, furniture, etc. Community Reminders • Remember that all pets must be on a leash when outside of the apartment. The only exception to this rule is when inside the Pet Park. In addition, pets are not to be left unsupervised for any reason, including on your patio. • Please remember to clean up after your pets at all times. Audubon Place is very pet-friendly and we have placed multiple doggie stations throughout the community for convenient usage. If you ever notice they are in need of a refill or to be emptied, please let the resident office know. • In an effort to keep the community clean, please properly dispose of cigarette butts. • Trash is not to be stored in the breezeways or on patios. Not only do we want to keep the community looking nice, we do not want to attract any unwelcome wildlife. Trash should be taken to the trash compactor. Please do not place household trash in the community trash cans throughout the community. Community Socials AUDUBON WANTS YOU!! To join us for our social events! All events take place in the Clubhouse unless otherwise noted.

• Happy Hour - Thursday, November 7th, 5-6pm **Drinks and light appetizers will be served. • Resident Yard Sale- Saturday, November 9th, 8am-12pm **Residents can set up tables in front of their buildings or in front of the Clubhouse. This is a resident participation event, so make sure to visit your neighbors’ tables!! • Happy Hour - Thursday, November 21st, 5-6pm **Drinks and light appetizers will be served. • Pot Luck Dinner - Tuesday, November 26th, 6-8pm **Audubon Place will be providing a turkey, ham, rolls, and drinks. Be the first to stop in the office and sign up for what favorite side dish you’ll bring! • Happy Hour - Thursday, December 5th, 5-6pm **Drinks and light appetizers will be served. • Cookie Exchange & Ugly Sweater Party – Thursday, December 12th, 5-6pm **Bring your favorite cookies and the recipe to share! • Holiday Social – Thursday, December 19th, 6-8pm. **Dinner will be catered by Carrabba’s Italian Grill, so come hungry!! *** From now through November 19th, Audubon Place is hosting a food drive for Manna Food Bank. The bins are located in the Clubhouse, and are ready for your donation! For each nonperishable food item you bring in, you will receive a raffle ticket that will enter you into a drawing to win many great prizes!!The drawing will take place at our Pot Luck Dinner on November 26 th!
