Project Objective: To participate in the annual takahe catch-up and baseline health screening at Burwood Takahe Rearing Unit Project Description: A member of Auckland Zoo’s bird team spent a number of days at the Burwood Takahe Rearing Unit in Te Anau to gain experience and develop skills in the management of takahe (Porphyrio hochstetteri).
