All You Need to Know About Doc Bhagavan Antle


Introduction

Myrtle Beach Safari Zoo It is created and run by Doctor Bhagavan Antle who is a world-famous animal trainer and behaviorist. He is known for his campaigns to spread global awareness about the need for conserving and preserving wildlife and all the rare animals. He is the founder of The Insitute for Greatly Endangered and Rare Species (T.I.G.E.R.S.), which is situated at Myrtle Beach, one of the most famous tourist attractions in California, United States of America.


Doc Antle was born with the name of Mahamayavi Bhagavan Antle in Arizona in 1960. His early life was spent in his parents’ cattle ranch in southern California, where he had developed his initial love for animals. Popular by the nickname “Kevin” in school, Doc Bhagavan Antle went to China and pursued a doctoral degree in Chinese medicine.


In 1982, he was approached by the representatives of Exxon Corporations to make a presentation using a tiger, at the annual convention. In the next year, Antle was asked to train tigers for an advertising campaign, which kindled his great love for the tigers.


Bhagavan Antle also runs the Rare Species Fund (RSF) to raise funds for the conservation of the different rare and exotic animals, from all the corners of the world. It is a global enterprise, although its main focus is to run animal welfare programs in the different parts of Asia, Africa, and South America. Doc Bhagavan Antle and his associates have rescued different rare wild animals from the hands of hunters and poachers and brought them here. At the T.I.G.E.R.S. Foundation, these rare animals are bred and brought up with love and care. These animals are free to roam around the more than 50 acres of land of the Myrtle Beach Safari Zoo, filled with lush green grass, and exotic flora and fauna.


This zoo is the home to more than 130 different species of endangered wild animals, including several species of orangutans, chimpanzees, elephants, tigers, lions, wolves, gibbons, and many more animals. Amongst these, mention may be made of the biggest ‘Liger’, named Hercules, a hybrid of a tiger and a lion, Ramses, the cheetah, Ahren, the fish eagle, and Bubbles, the African elephant.
