Welcome to ‘the Oath’ the Oath is a new magazine aimed at the regional legal profession, associated industries, and those trying to keep abreast of the regional legal landscape. Written by qualified journalists and industry experts, the Oath takes a fresh, honest and open perspective on all the issues that are shaping the business. the Oath aims to become the leading legal news and features title in the region, with a monthly helping of indispensable news, features, interviews and analysis that will enable C-level business executives across all professions to keep abreast of everything law-related. In an environment where new laws are announced regularly; where global, regional and domestic regulations change from month to month; and where language and cultural barriers can lead to costly mistakes, the Oath aims to cut through the confusion and provide information to those in the legal profession, as well as those trying to keep abreast of the legal landscape. the Oath will establish itself as an indispensable, reliable and trustworthy source of legal and business information for lawyers in the GCC and the wider Middle East. From visa regulations to importation rules, from tort to takaful, from jurisprudence to electronic copyright, the Oath aims to become the mouthpiece of the region’s legal profession. The magazine will analyse major developments in the legislature, and keep an eye on routine changes. Construction, property, banking, energy, maritime, Islamic finance and most other areas of corporate life will receive regular coverage. Each issue will include a special report on a topical, newsworthy field of business and law. For lawyers specifically, there will be an optional in-depth focus on a leading regional practice.
