August 3-18 – Summer Laser Light Shows Presented in partnership with C.H. ROBINSON WORLDWIDE, the Laser light shows return to the Koch Planetarium August 3 - 18. Eleven different laser light shows will be offered this summer, each with multicolor, laser light effects and animations set to the beat of music, projected onto the sphere of the stars. Matinee and evening programs are scheduled, including Legends of the Night Sky: Perseus and Andromeda, a matinee program for children. Their evening laser shows include music from artists such as the Beatles, LED Zeppelin and Metallica. In addition, there will be shows featuring classic rock, pop, and the album’s The Wall and Dark Side

of the Moon by the band Pink Floyd. The Laser Light Shows are presented in cooperation with WABX Evansville’s Classic Rock. Tickets are $7 for evening shows and $5 for matinees, with a $2 discount for Museum Members. Tickets may be purchased at the Museum or by calling (812) 425-2406 or them online for more information. August 3 – Time After Time: A Prom Gala The Evansville Museum’s annual gala will be held on Saturday, August 3 at 6 p.m. Traditionally this event has been held in November, but with the opening of the new Koch Immersive Theater scheduled for next winter, the gala has been moved away from that celebration. This year’s party, TIME AFTER TIME: A Prom, will be held at Tropicana Evansville’s Walnut Room A & B (formerly Casino Aztar). As this is a year of change for the Museum, they wanted to try something entirely new. They are planning a prom themed event -- a “graduation to the next era for the Museum,” if you will. Guests are invited to dress in prom attire – from any era – and join the event’s emcee and Trustee Andrew Wilson for this great end-of-summer celebration, featuring a fun evening of dinner, music and dancing to the exceptional tunes of Nashville’s popular group, Top Tier. Ticket prices are $100 per person for people graduating in 1996 or earlier, and $75 per person for anyone graduating after 1996. Prepaid tables of eight are available for $1,000, and guests can name their table. Proceeds from this special event are a key way the Museum is able to reach their annual operating fund goal. Visit them online to register for this event.
