A guide to our simple 3 stage approach
About us We specialise in gaining consent for wind energy projects. Our experienced team can advise and guide you through the planning process from basic desktop studies, through to planning submission and appeals.
Our experience 500MW consented 700MW in development 80MW awaiting determination We understand the planning complexities so you don’t have to - that’s why we have an excellent planning success rate!
Our simple 3 part process
We offer objective advice and support on projects of 50kW and above through our tried and tested 3 stage project evaluation process. This method has been successfully used on large scale wind farms to assist clients through the various issues encountered, with the end goal of obtaining planning consent.
Stage 1 - Desktop feasibility We will assess your site potential, examining site and planning constraints, as well as anticipated energy resource.
Stage 2 - Full feasibility and site inspection We will consider key matters such as: grid connection; site access; constraints planning; electromagnetic interference; aviation; landscape assessment; economic assessment based on energy resource, project development costs (including turbine purchase & erection) and FiT returns. In addition, your project manager will carry out a full site inspection to ensure there are no additional unforeseen constraints.
Stage 3 - Planning submission We will produce and submit the full planning application to the planning authority. In addition to our in-house expert assessment, we will commission any specialist reports required to accompany the application. This work will involve the preparation of the necessary plans, supporting information and submission of the application, along with post submission management of the application process. All sites have their own particular characteristics and features, which will shape development proposals and applications.
Feed-in Tariffs = cash in your pocket On April 1st 2010 the Government introduced the Feed- in Tariff (FIT) scheme to reward small and medium producers of renewable energy. This means if you have a suitable site you can take advantage of the scheme by producing power for which you will receive guaranteed income for 20 years! The benefits to you are threefold...
Benefits of FiTs Benefit 1 - Save money No electricity bills. Your turbine will enable you to become self-sufficient, producing enough power to meet your needs, and more.
Benefit 2 - Make money You will receive guaranteed payment for the energy you generate, for the next 20 years!
Benefit 3 - Make more money You will receive guaranteed payment for surplus energy production sold back to the grid!
