For full schedule Ongoing : birding and Nature Walks Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge, 800 Great Creek Rd. Galloway Twp. The Refuge, internationally famous as a birding and nature destination, will be offering free weekly bird and nature walks every Friday from 8-10am. The walks will meet at the refuge Visitor Information Center. Park Ranger and expert birder/naturalist Don Freiday and Volunteer Master Naturalists at the refuge will guide these walks, which are suitable for adults and interested children accompanied by an adult. People of all experience levels are welcome, and loaner binoculars are available. No pre-registration is necessary. 652-1665. Kids Light up The arts Absecon Lighthouse, 401 N. New Hampshire Ave. Atlantic City. To promote the visual and performing arts to children, the lighthouse will be offering special 2-hour art classes from 1-3pm on Sunday afternoons beginning Jan. 29 through March. This series will collaborate with local artists, performers and crafters to educate and encourage kids to create their own works of art, culminating with an Art Show and reception. Classes will be featured in theatre & puppetry, dance, painting, literature, photography, and other disciplines. Please call 609-449-1360 to reserve your child’s participation weekly.
